    Post Crafting?

Are we gonna have new tier to level up again? I am thinking that a yes since cap level will be 85. any news on this?
Please Turbine, if we do...make it better than our 75 crafted stuff...ya mess up when cap level was 65 and mirkwood stuff was horrible...sad that the lorien stuff was better.

Maybe just more stuff at the Westfold tier? I'd expect more crafting with a level cap increase, otherwise your crafting becomes fairly pointless at cap.

    AW: Crafting?

The problem with the Moria-to-Mirkwood crafting wasnt that it was the same tier - it was purely the selection of recipes. Nevertheless, the choice of making lvl65 crafted equipment that was exceptionally easy to make wasnt a bad decision per se either. It also had a huge variety of funny boni to play around with - something whch is sorely missing from post-isengard stuff.

In my opinion, what Turbine should be doing is to not give instance loot such crazy increases in potency. The gaps between the gear from Moria to Ost Dunhoth were by far not that big - maybe even a bit TOO low. There has to be a healthy relationship here.

Every item has a hidden level that governs the toal amount of stats on them. I.e., Theodred teal is lvl 79; skirmish raid/Galtrev set is level 82. Right now, the potency of Orthanc T2 armor and loot is a hidden level 88. Technically, the current set will be as strong as any world drop or purple crafted piece if lvl85 crafting goes on following the same itemization rules. My solution: Close the gaps between the different tiers of gear available right now.

i.e.: skirmish camp and world drop gear: lvl 85.
    crafted gear: lvl 86
    scaled instance gear: lvl 87.
new cap instance gear+ skirmish raid: lvl 89. Also dropping one-shot recipes for the same level.
new raid: lvl 90 with T2 dropping lvl 91. Also dropping one-shot recipes for the same level.

Thats less than half the spread we have now, while still following the normal "progression" from casual to raider. And within the levels one can further divide through purple, teal and some high-class yellow stuff (Baingrist, anyone?)

Furthermore, close the gap again between the legendary ages. At lvl 65, a maxed third ager had a higher base DPS than an unmaxed first ager. I dont get why this was changed so much. At the same time, 2nd agers could be made harder to get again because they would offer less potency increase. I dont think it is healthy that third agers are completely relegated to being relic and legacy sources right now.
