Thread: Tanking Best in Slot? Is Thamen better than Tireless Sentinel

Provided you had access to any gear you like what is your best in slot makeup? I don't know if the thamen set is actually better than the Tireless Sentinel. The set bonuses aren't spelled out. What do you guys think?

Thamen hands down. Tireless Sentinal isnt bad but the bonuses are rubbish other than NS and the stats arent as balanced. I love the agi off the ToO set. In t2 raids i will use the helm of the tireless sentinal for the extra incoming heals and finesse. 5 piece thamen and helm of teh tireless sentinel is a pretty good combo

I always went with 5 Thamen + Tireless pants (loads of power) and just switched the other day to 5 Thamen + Tireless gloves (inc.heal).

I wanted to find out as well, so I made a text document for it a few weeks ago:

As you can see, Draig has more power and power regen, but otherwise, Thamen beats it in every way. The boost in Agi on the Thamen adds up to a lot more than the Draig's pure Parry and Draig's PM isn't really important for a tank. Shield Way is just sad.

Cool. Thanks for the comparisson. I didn't know Thaman was that much better. I've been running around in my Draig set still. Then again I've yet to even do ToO so it's not like I could switch if I wanted to, ha ha. Looking at those numbers though I definately wouldn't mind giving it a go. +188 Agility sounds like it would be a nice boost to my Parry and Evade.

- Earring 2: ??? (I have Resolute Earring of Theodred)
- Ring 1: Empowered Anduin Martyr's Ring
- Ring 2: Anduin Martyr's Ring
- Pocket: Anduin Martyr's Bauble
- Bracelet 1: ??? (I have bracelet of strength remembered)
- Bracelet 2: ??? (I have Bracelet of Limlight Guardsman)
- Neck: ??? (I have chain of Draigoch's Fate)

Any improvements you guys know of?

Thamen way better than tireless... I dropped from four set to just 3 on draigoch's as soon as I got some teal gear from skirm raids even... losing 600 PM okay with me heh. Right now I'm using 5 thamen and the tireless gloves. I think the helm instead wouldn't be too bad either.

Theres a purple lowly earring of the orc ? from rof that has 120ish vitality, 30ish might and 330ish parry. Earring of the defiant and Earring of Trev Gallorg from certain skirm raids are similiar, with morale or power instead of parry.

Bracelet of the unbent knee from draigoch and root guard's bracelet from rof are good... Haven't been able to get either yet though

I got an "Earring of the Peak" from the new skirmish that gives +61 might, +122 vitality and +162 max morale ... maybe not the best, but the best I have got so far .

Yeah, I really don't get why they introduced that nerfed earring of the defiant.. It's uninspired, to say the least.

Its half of the +Morale and double the +Might which gives you Block and Parry. Overall its not really a nerf. Its probably just as good tbh.

The point is it gives another option for Tanks to acquire that extra Vitality Earring. Always felt that the Trev Galorg one was more Captain oriented with that +Power

Uninspired? Yup.

Actually Thamen gives 194 might... But that is still better
