    Best mark/medallion farming skirm?

Hi wardens - I know this is more of a general question, but I think the warden community is most inclined to give a reasonable answer =)

If I run a solo-size Tuckborough T3 skirm, the haul is 311 marks and 16 medallions when doing both encounters. (the encounters award 6 medallions each, why wouldn't I do them).

What skirm(s) do other wardens run for marks and medallions, and what kind of totals do you get from them?

Nothing beats a good fast Foundry T2 or RoF T2 imo, they give about 400-500 meds per run which you can convert to 1200-1500 marks

For soloing I guess Tuck is one of the best if not the best though :/

Something tells me that you did not read the original post... or the title for that matter. Heh. The poster specifically said which skirmish gives the best profit.

To the O.P., normally I would say Trouble in Tuckburough, but Storm of Methedras is a very quick skirmish so I would almost change it to that. For a Warden the offensive ones are always quickest. Storm of Methedras you can do on Tier 2 very easily and just gather all the mobs in each area. You have your soldier plus whats-his-face to help pew pew everything down.

I did read it, and I edited my answer ~30 secs after posting the initial one. As much as he wrote skirmish, instances are far better when it comes to reaping in meds, marks and seals which is why they're worth mentioning.

Hehe np, I should probably learn to write my posts in 1 go rather than posting a bit and then edit it, I do that in like 80% of my posts for some unknown reason.

    Thanks both of yas.

Guess I need to learn the Foundry instance; have never done it (sadface). Vilya is not so trusting of wardens as tanks compared with other servers, I suppose. But it is slowly changing. (quoting legendary onyxia wipe animation video) "and when I say slow, I mean F'ING SLOW"

Yeah I remember when people were hesistant about taking Wardens along. Sometimes it takes a little bit of convincing. Just go in there, do your best, and WOW the Fellowship into wanting you next time. Foundry is a very easy instance. If you were on BW I'd go on a trial run with you to show you the ropes. I am sure you can find a group willing to do it though. Try it on Tier 1 first, give it a go, and see how you like it. Read the guides online first. The first boss can be kind of confusing with the tiles and what not. Good luck!

    to the OP:
Try soloing a tier 1 duo tuck i find it easier to do than a solo tuck and i find u get more meds and marks and the end

on a side note; i laugh at people who don't trust wardens for tanks... the only reason they don't actually trust you to tank is only because they are used to the easy mode face rolling right off the bat with a guardian, but if they let the warden some time to guild up threat they can go all out and not pull once.

the first time i did a foundry it was on t2 and they needed a tank, when i joined some didn't really trust me as a tank only because they never ran with me before and others had not so great experiences with warden tanks previous... that and i never did the instance before so doing it on t2 was a great learning experience as well =P

Even with Terrible Visage and Battle Prep'd EoB though you shouldn't even need time to build threat... so I have no idea why they don't trust Wardens. He he. I guess people were so used to Guardians for so long. Same thing happened in Moria when Warden was first introduced. People still only asked for Guardians to tank, then we made ourselves known and it got mucked up a while later. Well now we're back, so in time we'll be known again hopefully he he.

For marks its best to just let IF pick for you for a 50% bonus. Doesn't really matter which one you get... it'll be a better mark return than picking just one to run repeatedly. If you have enough skirms you can deselect the long boring ones like gond and still get the 50% bonus too.

I also find that increasing the tier (for a 10%/20%? bonus) isn't realy worth it. Things take twice as long to kill but you're not gettin 100% more marks..

    Re: Best mark/medallion farming skirm?

First off as for wardens tanking...Imo the way things are now were better than guards. With battle prep and memory eob no dps needs to hold back. And the times healers have died and i self healed for the rest of the fight are plenty. Was in a fire ice wing the other night just before reset. Was a pug and most people in there were on alts or new to it as by wed most people good at it already had locks. On my side the group did not understand the concept of distributed damage so the healer was going crazy keeping everyone up. Slowly they started dieing off. Bout half way thru the fight my side started slacking with a couple dps dead the fire things started stacking up. Not long after that my entire group was dead. The other group was fine. I with eob and self heals stayed alive wile the other group finished off the ice boss, then took out all the fire elements on my side and then the boss. No guard could have done that. Ever.

As for runing skirms and back on topic. Tuck is probably the easyest and i havent done the new one yet. But my advice is do it as hard as you can pull off. If your really good on gear you can pull off a T3 dueo or even a 3 man if your lucky on the types of generals that come out. With eob for heals its actually easyer to do higher man skirms than higher tier as more mobs mean more heals. Just kill the hard hitting guys first and with your defense up the regualr trash wont hit you enough to mater.

But the best way is to do group instances and raids. You get so many more medallions that way it makes skirmishing solo kinda pointless imo. I have about 20k medallions and no idea what im going to do with them. Thinking about cashing them in for skirm marks and maxing out a few different skirm soldirs on my 75's just for fun.
Change your point of view and change the way you perceive everything.

I have not solo skirmed in a long time, but Strike on dannelgor skipping the add waves seemed to be the fastest marks on my min + warrior. I am still 3rd fastest on the server, and haven't done it since Mirkwood, I think 4:30-5 minutes per run.

    Re: Best mark/medallion farming skirm?

If you are farming solo, you can also improve your medallion returns by letting instance finder the skirm for you. It also keeps it less of a grind if you've got some variety. Randomizing all the offensive skirmishes solo will get you +20% medallions. If you add in all the defensive ones, it goes up to 50%. If you add just one defensive skirmish, you can get the bonus to 33% and still do mostly offensive skirms. You can drop up to 4 skirmishes and still get the +50% currency/+5% morale and power bonus. So I drop Attack at Dawn and all the Moria instances.

Look for me on Vilya ... I will run them with you. I have a Mini as well at 75 and I would gladly run with a Warden. I personally have a good many friends who have me tank. Foundry is a good run and easy to run. Maybe even run some 3 man's just need to pick up a DPS.

I think it all matters who you run with. There are some who will take a warden as a tank, but if you mess up they will not take you a second time.

Shoot me a tell or message when your normall on and we will get some runs going.
