Please Turbine, give us crafters greater control over what we craft!

I feel crafting in Lotro is so very close to being truly amazing if only the crafting professions had more control over what gets crafted.

    For example:
Allow Crafters to choose which ability stats they want on their crafted items and in what combinations.
Allow Crafters to increase a weapon's effectiveness by also increasing it's to hit chance and DoT.
Allow Crafters to determine the type of damage a weapon will do.
Allow Crafters to determine if they want their crafted weapon to affect like the target's armor, speed/ability of attack or ability to evade.
Allow Crafters to set a weapon's durability; perhaps in a way that makes it more powerful but at the same time more susceptable to damage and visa versa.
Allow Crafters to decon weapons and armors to reclaim crafting mats or even something used to enhance existing weapons and armors.
Which leads to allowing Crafters to enhance their's and other's weapons, armors and/or jewelry.

All this can be done by using existing items already in-game like jewels. There are tons of adamants, beryls and other gems that drop off mobs but have very limited uses once they are polished. Therefore, the bulk ends up as vender trash after their use to level up their profession is accomplished. (Polished gems don't generally sell well or for very much on AH.)

So why not use these polished items to add polish to other crafted items?

I really enjoy crafting. I guest just to craft and I level just to craft. Perhaps I am unique in my style of play or perhaps there are others like me who share my passion for crafting. Either way the crafting system as presently constituted in Lotro just doesn't completely satisfy my crafting desires.

I just hope there are more than a few out there that agree, otherwise, what will be the motivating factor to get Turbine to take serious my plea?

I think the current one is good already. You can't have everything fitting your needs. Thats why they make axe and swords and halberds etc because they have different behaviours. A sword can't be perfect.
And if you want xp you need money. what's the purpose of getting more xp per crafting tier if you can just deconstruct and make another sword and decon and make another? It would be just wasting time

i agree with this part of the suggestion, there should be more to crafted items other than vendor trash, may be barter for marks/meds/crit or legendary ingredients

or may be just follow what warcraft did, disenchant for mats to make scrolls that enhances abilities or boosts stats, that part of warcraft is the most enjoyable part of crafting, very similar to deconstructing legendary items but less tedious & not too much clicks & you can do it on the go
