Thema: Ettenmoors-Plugin PvMP+

Hi all,

I did a small ettenmoors plugin last week, called "PvMP+".
Maybe some of you are interesed.

I used this but then I started playing 18+ hours in a day and my LoTRO client crashes and I lose progress so I stopped using it

This player created addition to PvMP looks better then anything Turbine has tried to add to PvMP in years.

A simple but very nice plugin.

No need to open your war-tab every few minutes to check your progress, everything you need is displayed on screen.

It shows your rank as a percentage (very nice for higher ranks), comms, and infamy breakdown over the day/hour and past 10 minutes, everything you need to know.

This is the second best thing that has come to PvMP!

Love it, great job

I added a small function in v1.6 that allows you to easily share your progress with others by sending the statistics to the chat.
Of course you can choose from different chat channels by right-clicking on the new button.

- commendation-warning now flashes faster when commendations > 9500
- added warning when you get tracked --- (EN/DE/RU only)
- added notice about reputation increase in precent (the 3%-/5%-buff on freep side is not implmenented yet. You can help with telling me the exact(!) name of these buffs, in english and/or german) --- (EN/DE only)
- small fixes / improvements

One question though, how do you display the tracked warnings? I am currently using the Alerter plugin that creates a large red text which says "Tracked" in the middle of my screen and was wondering if I could replace this. I need something bright and rather large in the middle of my screen otherwise I won't notice it XD.

I display the warnings by creating a new window with a hidden label and the text on it. Every time a track comes in, the label will flash for 10 seconds. Does this help you or what exactly do you want to know?

So it creates a tab which shows up in your chat window for 10 seconds and flashes?

No, it's simply a big red text saying "You feel as though you are being followed..." in the middle of your screen.
You can deactivate the warning and reposition the window.

Ah, ok. One thought might be to allow people to alter the message that appears on the screen? I'm thinking that "You feel as though you are being followed..." is kinda long and might be hidden behind or cover other things on my screen. Just a thought though. Great update .

You're pretty much asking for Alerter, are you sure you have it set-up right? For my warg I have large red text that flashes 'tracked' in the centre of the screen if Im of course tracked. If I throw out a track and pick up nothing then large green text flashes saying 'nothing on track'. Works for me

Already thought about this, but at the moment, I'd like to keep the configuration part as small as possible therefore I think I won't implement this (in the near future). But you can change the text manually in the language-lua file or, as "LetsDance" already mentioned, use the Alerter plugin and deactivate the feature in PvMP+.

I already know about this problem, resizing the window should solve the problem.
What window resolution do you have? Maybe this can help me to find the problem.

I'm usually not into the plugins stuff but this one...Just too good to ignore it, Thanks for making such a useful plugin.

My screen resolution is 1600x900 and I keep the plugin window as small as it goes.

The day/hr/etc info appears to fluctuate on a pixel by pixel basis. When I first start up the game, it's not there at all. Once I move it around the screen, they appear, but they may be fully there or only half there (sometimes I only see the top half of the info). When I begin dragging them around, the info flickers between fully and half there, even if it's in a corner and the window isn't moving, if I'm still dragging it and only moving the mouse, the info still flickers. Based on where I let go of the window (which pixel), the info may stay half or fully there.

Thanks for taking the time to fix it . Absolutely love this plugin.

I'm not able to find the problem at first glance. Would it be possible to make a screenshot or video an send it to me? This would be really helpful.

Odd, it's no longer doing the flickering. Only problem now is when I log in the bottom stuff doesn't show until I move the window.

awesome plugin, and it just keeps getting better!

I would like to suggest another feature though:
The ability to set the time when the "daily" counter resets.

I often still play after midnight, and would prefer my "after midnight" points to be still counted with the previous day.
even though technically it's a new day - hence having the daily counter reset at midnight makes sense - I would much prefer to have the reset happen at e.g. 6 in the morning.

If you feel like adding anything, maybe add a loot announcement. So you know when you get a loot box or key.
