Hey all,
I'm new, started a character on Crickhollow and I love the game already. There's a fair few around but i'd really like to be in the most suitable server for someone in the UK. What server do you think i should move to? I'm looking for the most populated one (at EU times) and English speaking server.
I know there's no specific stats but if anyone could help me out with a finger in a vague direction I would be very grateful!
Thanks very much!
Eldar is quite a good server.
We have a (mostly) good community and come from a variety of countries.
We have also many kinships dedicated to new players.
Come in for a visit and you'll see for yourself!
Enjoy your stay in Middle-Earth!

Day shall come again! Aure entuluva!
I was just about to go back to my Crick char (lvl 6 WOOO) before i checked this thread!
So what's the population like on Snowy? I was considering going there but i'd received mixed feedback from the threads i'd looked at.
Peak GMT times (7:00 PM) filled ?
EDIT: 3 different replies, 3 different servers.
I like to play with others despite loving single player RPGs.
One of the nice things about Crick is since it's currently the recommended server I see a fair few newcomers just like myself
Although, i'd rather pick a server that i wouldn't regret.
EEEK I want to decide now so i can get this LM underway!

I started on snowbourn since they had 600 players in their chat channel compared to 200 in brandywine and 100 in crickwood..
<-- Faenir - friendly people are welcomed to pm me <3
EDIT: I quit snowy, unfriendly people. Despite being EU i'm now staying at Crick
It's not universally unfriendly but i have found that there's a lot of non English speaking players who are unable to reply to you so you feel like you're being ignored. It's especially bad when they LFF in English and wont respond to questions or worse when you get into a group and then don't talk the whole time. I mean today I did SG with a group that failed Hm so i asked "is that it or are we going again?" the answer i got (after about a minute) was "yes".
I never had this problem at all on Evernight in the 2-3 years i was on there so i'm not sure if this is unique to Snowbourne or whether its a symptom of f2p.
Still, there's a lot of great people there and a decent amount of activity it's just pugs are an even bigger minefield than before.
If you want some stats go here: http://lux-hdro.de/hdro-live.php, click on the two [US] server so see some good graphs about population numbers and on each server's name to see graphs about the last 24h.
Snowbourne is the biggest EU server but you may consider Brandywine as well, by far LOTRO's biggest server, I play from Italy and I like it. As for crick it might be a good idea, you'll probably always have some people around your level to play with while leveling but those numbers never last long
i decided not to go to any RP server... reading some of the RP guides just made me laugh. The community on crick is small but nice i find, if i quit crick i'd go to an EU server but i'm not sure which :S
