If I replace a legacy with a stat legacy such as Agility, what exactly do I get? I see the options for a lesser at tier two or a Legacy of Agility at tier four. Do these appear as normal legacies that can be increased with legendary points spent? If so, what is the initial amount of Agility, and what is the maximum? If I deconstruct an item with a tier 4 Legacy of Agility at level 31, I can choose a legacy scroll of Agility right - but it would be a tier 2.
Do most players actually use stat legacies to replace their less useful legacies? Do they do this mainly on their end-of-game Legendary Items? Thanks.
Stat Legacies come at T4 and can be raised to T6. In a ...
*> FA L75 item, the stat increase per rank (r1-r9) is: 39-40-41-42-43-44-45-46-47
*> SA L75 item, the stat increase per rank (r1-r9) is: 33-34-35-36-37-38-39-40-41
*> SA L65 item, the stat increase per rank (r1-r9) is: 11-13-14-16-17-19-20-22-24
Based on the fact that FA/SA L75 items are different, I am pretty sure TA items have lower values. I can't supply information for a FA L65 items (never had one) or items lower than L65 as I never put a stat legacy on anything lower than L65.
Regardless of item level, the rank cost at each tier follows the following schedule:
- Rank --> 01-02-03-04-05-06-07-08-09
*> Tier 4: 00-06-08-11-16-21-27-33-41 => 163 for r9
*> Tier 5: 00-04-06-09-12-16-21-26-32 => 126 for r9
*> Tier 6: 00-03-05-07-09-12-15-19-23 => 093 for r9
Because primary weapons require that the base skill (DPS) be ranked up to rank 7 at a total cost of 230 legacy points, few classes can level anywhere near six legacies to full value even if they are at tier 6. However, replacing a relatively low tiered/rank legacy with a stat legacy can, even at rank 1, provide a significant increase in a needed stat - this is especially true on a L75 weapon.
This is not necessarily true on a class item or a secondary weapon where either the DPS or the base item ability is not necessarily required to be at maximum rank (i.e., Hunter Swords, Burglar Bags) as with all or a significant portion of the extra 230 points available on an item with the extra 10 levels (L70 via a Delving Scroll) yields 750 total points for a SA item, and 830 points for a FA item (670 for a TA item BTW). With either number, one can often max out all 6 (or even 7 if you have an old item - my burg does) if they are low cost enough, so sometimes they never get anything replaced with a stat legacy.
My Hunter's bow has max DPS and four A legacies maxed and two r2 stats (Agility & Vitality), while the sword has minimal DPS and four legacies and two stat legacies maxed. My Burg on the other hand has two weapons and two bags, and only one of each have a stat (Agility) legacy because the legacies are really useful ranked up at tier 6, while my Captain has no stat legacies as the item legacies are too useful maxed out (or nearly so).
I do not believe that you can pull of a Stat legacy from an item when you deconstruct it. Rather, you need to barter for them. They can be obtained via Mirkwood tokens (25/each) or Endwaith Northman tokens (15/each) - at least, that is how I get them.
So, it pretty much depends on your class an item type as to whether you use stat legacies or not.
Hope this helps ...

Reason: Information for FA L75 item provided
Marisibelle & Melissabelle [L85 Brgs], Rosilyn [L85 Cp] One is truly rich who has friends.
Thanks very much. You gave me quite a bit of information and a lot to consider. I still would like to know what a 3Age item would get in stat bonuses, but your 2Age gives me a model at least. Of course, the thinking involved in 75th level is much different than mid-50s.
I have seen legacies on my Legendary Items that I just don't see using very much. I suppose that by the time you build your end-game item, you have replaced the useless legacies with ones more to your liking, and then use stat legacies to fill in any space.
I play solo most of the time, so I don't fully appreciate the requirements of raid gear and LIs set to take advantage of groups. I have a Hunter, level 62, that actually uses that sword and has been the melee fighter in some small fellowships when needed. I do, however, play my Captain, level 53, in a small fellowship almost all the time and your imput gives me quite a bit to consider.
