    What would you do?

I have been thinking of transferring but my wife will kill me if I transfer all my toons. This was her suggestion, why not pick a server and start new. I mean, I wish I could start new since I have made couple of mistakes but the grind would take all my time to start fresh. What would you do if you was in my shoes? (even thruo I don't think ya will fit, since I am a size 4 )
I was thinking of just transferring 3 I will be using and not tell my wife.

It would help if you told us what kind of "mistakes" you made... why do you want to transfer?

Look at his signature, he is a hunter.
    Not enough mistake?

Being serious now, don't transfer yet.
Level a new toon in the new server, a minstrel would be a nice choice, and look for a new kin. Try to know people in new server, and then reevaluate if transfering old chars worth the waste. You can be 75 in abouth a mont if you play hard.

Don't know the reason for this change or your kind of player (Social, Raider, PvPer), but if you are looking for a most populated server for PvPing first check it with a creep.

And mate, dont lie to your wife, better buy her a present and use the same quantity of money for the transfer.

    Re: What would you do?

I am looking for a bigger server and I am what you call a so what retired raid leader. By mistakes I mean like leveling up deeds that makes no sense for the class or adding a crafting profession to a class I probably will never level to 75 but yet need to because of the crafting.

It only takes about 1 month to do 1 -75. Crafting and deeds will double that time.

If you enjoy the game, doing the above should be really fun.

Why does no one take the endless LI and tier 8 relics, medallions and seals grind into account? Seriously, talk to your wife and convince her that transferring all characters from you both is the way to go.

On the other hand, I would not (have to) ask my wife permisson to transfer characters

How many characters? Transferring 2 is different than transferring 20.
Mistakes being that you don't like the craft? Learn a new one. Gold is cheaper than $$.
Bigger server? How do you know it's bigger until you get on? Whether you transfer or not, make a new character and get a feel for the world first. You may decide it's not the world for you.
Leveled up deeds your class didn't need? ... You got a title and some TP for your troubles. Unless you used an accelerator, you're ahead gold, TP and a title. And... this is a mistake? O.o

Lying to your wife? I know the names of a few lawyers in different cities. I also know a few marriage counselors. If you're willing to lie to her, then your problems are probably a little bigger than LOTRO character transfer.

I'm not picking on you or trying to be a smarta$$, but if your wife would "kill" you for transferring your toons, what would she do to you if you lied about it and she found out?

    Re: What would you do?

It is confusing what you are asking, because you said that your wife suggested that you transfer a toon or a couple of toons, but not all toons, and you are thinking of doing just exactly what your wife suggested without telling her you decided to do so, thinking that it is lying, when in fact, she suggested it, according to your statements.

Do, or do not, there is no try.

How can you make mistakes in lotro? This isn't D&D where you can mess up your character build. There are no builds in lotro.

Deceiving your wife is a bad idea. If you want to transfer characters then just tell her why. You are an adult now. Keeping secrets because you are scared is something children do.

    Yes! This right here.

I would just start over on the new server and enjoy starting from the beginning again. My favorite content has always been levels 1-20.
