I've been playing the game for several months now, and I love almost every aspect of it. The clothing, gear, characters, etc.
One thing I would love to see improve in every role-playing game, is the ability to simply create light.
Especially, when travelling through Moria, or whenever it is night time, it would simply be ideal if LOTRO would incorporate some sort of spell that creates light, or torches, lamps, or a bright fairy that follows the players. Not that I think it is hard to see when i am playing the game, but it creates so much deeper role-play experience when my character, which is a lore-master, is travelling through Moria, and is able to make his staff shine (like gandalf's), or pulls out a candlestick or something. I think that would be awesome! The ability to simply create light, is in itself a magical experience in diving into another world of magic.
Please respond if you agree, or have comments, I would love to see this in the game, I'm sure its not too much to ask.
The lighting in Moria has already been upgraded with the latest update. I liked it the way it was before: dark and dangerous with a mob waiting at every corner to jump you. Moria isn't supposed to be a Shire-with-a-roof. It's supposed to be the way it is.
Doesnt ALT + F10 toggle personal light on and off??
That was my first thought too. However, I think the OP is asking for an animation or effect showing the character creating and carrying a light. Gandalf's glowing stone or a torch carried about is what I think he has in mind.

may it be a light for you when all other lights go out.
