Hi,
I've been reading things like "My EoB raised threat like a 15k damage blow" and the like a lot now. My question is: Where would I find a source where I can read or calculate these numbers? I just didn't find any reliable source or tool in this Wardens' QA jungle
Thanks in advance!
"So Isildur's Bane has been found..."
"Yeah! It was a limited time offer in the LotRO Store during the 'Mount Doom Eruption Event'. Cost me 2995 TP but now I have a /sauron emote, too."
Just grab another player, grab a monster, deliver Threat skill X (e.g. EoB or SoV) to that monster once (ideally w/o using autoattack or dmg-dealing builders)... then let the other player slowly damage that monster and notice after how much morale lost it turns from you to the DD-player.
Rinse and repeat like 20 times for each skill to get a good middle ground for each threat skill.
There are some numbers floating around on these forums, but most are originally from a post of MrKeks, who also said that he just tested each skill like 3-5 times, so those might be off abit.

This is an important step, because threat can crit and there's no real way to tell when it does. So if you're testing EoB, any of the ticks can independently crit which changes the overall threat value.

Before the patch that "nerfed/fixed" EOB i'd say it got pretty close.
I have to say tough EOB's inicial threat is as much as every pulse that's generated.
As far as this thread goes, "how much threat is X damage?" well it seems turbine likes the fact we are unaware of any kind of threat numbers, it's the expirience of players that manage said threat, there are no numbers, and i doubt there will ever be.
