Gilrain could use a thread to organise some decent raid vs raid; seeing most concern about being outnumbered so i ll probably start it off. so Please sign up here for saturday raid vs raid , Max player 24/24

I'll be there for 2.5 hours, herding the freeps, killing the weak and wounded! Not raiding though, so close to rank 11 now.

24 vs 24 freeps and creeps out in the open = creeps getting farmed hard.

if we dont get 24 vs 24 , then i ll rescale it to balance it out + Ako leading is fantastic so it should be good evening on saturday, dont worry it should be fun on saturday since the whole point is to have FUN ^^

Just to back up my point; ~40 creeps wiping to ~25 freeps earlier on tonight. I'm all for PvMP events, but this isn't the best thought through.

Me and Dolma will be happy to join.

We can join either side;
As Freep: Gildis and Dolma
As Creep: Grishlash and Dolmis

If Ako will lead, it will be an awesome raid

I think you need 36 Creeps Vs 24 Freeps to make this remotely fair, and can each side guarantee no spoilers on the sidelines.

Normally that's indeed the case. More creeps than freeps needed to balance out the forces for most fun.
If the actual "force" on either side turns up to be in great favour for one side, I have other things I can and will do.

A planned sign up evening gives us a chance to choose side in advance to make it as fun as possible for all.
Intentions are welcome. They don't always turn in a "equal fun for all" way. We'll see what happens on saturday.

Edit: I see I'm listed as a participant in the creep raid, which I'm not. Must be a misunderstanding. I'll be there but not in the raid. I'll contribute by cutting supply lines, killing ranged/healing annoyances at the rear and scouting/counting. So close to rank 11 now.

This is exactly what we dont want, cutting off supply lines is okay, but if you are not part of the Creep Raid, then you shouldn`t be fighting the Freep Raid, this is an organised event for 2 Raids to fight each other, and keeping non-raided people out of it has to be a priority, or is it okay that 12 non raided Freeps join in as well ??

Well, deal with it. I have attended dozens of events like this and what you are looking for is a dream scenario. Never ever in Gilrain's history has there been 24v24 fighting in the normal spots. You just can't shut ppl out for an entire evening.


What you can do though, which everyone will respect, is the way Rogues Gallery and Hope & Glory did it once. (I'll use 'we' since I was a part of RG back then) We gathered 12 participants each, rode off to a field just by Plains of Gram OP, and we had several clashes, 12 v 12, with many people watching. Was very fun and we all fought to the last man. If you want 24v24 and 24v24 only, you need to go to an area, such as PoG, establish a perimeter for the combat grounds, and then go at each other with all you got, maneuvering within the combat area. I would be happy to come watch such a fight, without interfering unless I was a part of any of the 24.


An event won't be less successful if more than 24 participate, it never was a problem in the past and it won't be now either. Chances are that you will have 2nd raids forming up on both sides, causing great fun for everyone playing. (hopefully)
