Thread: Fights Saturday 5/19

Thank you freeps for some amazing fighting for hours on end last night. After a week of rough times, it was great to see so many freeps coming out and going head to head. Got lots of great footage on fraps and from what i see on the trackers, some great infamy/renoun ranging in the 8K-10K for creeps and 11K-13K for freeps.

Hope to see a lot more of these!!

Agreed! I wasn't involved in the bigger fights.. though I did play speed bump a few times.. but had a blast nonetheless yesterday. Thanks!

Maybe keep it down to 6 minis and captains next time

The raid versus raid action yesterday was, at times, nothing short of phenomenal. Full credit to Sylidor for his exemplary leading on freepside, and to all the freeps and creeps who participated.

Would have fought more but we only had 3 groups for pretty much the whole night Once the outnumbered buff turned on... it was only a matter of time before we got annihilated 100% of the time

I know there was a full raid of freeps atleast at times and my kin had a group of 7-9 maybe some of the time but, the fights were fun, laggy I did notice lag even for me and I rarely lag. The moving around the map fights > stalemate npc hugging fights. I never can tell whose leading when all 3 of you are out in the same pool.

For around half of the fights I was involved with you Vyxe, there was only a few tag alongs when we combatted in keeps (mainly ta) against your 3 groups? + tags. Simply, because I didn't call our position out, so 25 freeps~ish.

As for this quote - it was 4 captains, 4 minstrels, actually. But yeah, good point recognising how dam good the healing was. I said it during the raid and I will say it again - some of the best healing in years was displayed yesterday. But kudos for sticking around Yicky/Vyxe, I know you guys weren't getting the better end of it.

And Yick, there won't be lots more of these partciular fights mate. I'm only out once, mabye twice a week at most during your time - and there isn't any freep raid leaders at the moment that I could consider to be pushing keeps agressively/sizing up odds to create fights such as the ones we had yesterday.
So lets both lap up the fights, when we can.

Great success? Friend, I am surprised nobody raged and left half way through to be honest, my 2 reasonable attempts at raid leading were /OK/ at best, some decent fights, but a lot of wipes (granted I had to push keeps continuously to try and find us some decent action, with not a lot of healing... blah). I concede to your superiority in all things raid related... and loot related (not lotro..)

Seems a bit strange to compare freep healing now to years ago.

Didn't compare the *skills* involved in the usage of healing (despite the higher mod/crit chance on heals nowadays), I compared the *skill* that was involved by the players. Large difference.

And yeah, I should've said 2 years - couple of summers ago exhibited healing of the same kind during raid format. But, shout out to Stenia, Iolex, and Peachhime, rock solid guys.

I have led in the past, and I do get requests to lead a raid, but I do not lead all the time for I have noticed the creeps log when hte fighting starts. I would lead if the fights would continue .I would honestly help lead raids more if the fights would continue more. The minstrel excuses are old specially when the two raid leaders freepside are minstrels.

Keep it up Vaap...It takes some coaxing to get into the driver seat from what I hear...and there are a few freeps wanting to step up to it. Go for it. Try to give people the attitude of, IF you wipe...and you got 6 or 7 kills...success! Also remember...if you see a warleader or two burn a rez...that means you have wiped the creep group. And rank doesnt matter...fun does. Hell the other night we were having a blast getting wiped. we were still getting kills and the infamy rolled in(not as much as the freeps but I kind of prefer that) If people are getting to the point where they aren't having fun, or the freeps are getting steamrolled, the majority of creep leaders will back off and give you time to go out and have some fun. I know myself and Vyxe will log if there are multiple wipes and we think you guys aren't enjoying it out here. We want the good fights...not a slaughter fest. So I would encourage you to step up and lead or co-lead with another freep that has led in the past...get together and work with each other to see if you can get some renoun coming in.

If the creeps log when you come out...you may be coming out too late or too early. I have heard from some creeps that the freeps come out in force roughly around midnight eastern...if not later. Most of the creeps are logging at that point. You will probably get a good resistance force between 6-10 pm eastern. And that may vary in either direction depending on availability. We aren't trying to log on you. A lot of us go an do other stuff while waiting for freeps to mass up and rely on intel either though shout boxes, text messages, or glancing at chat. So make sure you make your presence known and you should get a response fairly quickly. Keep trying and as I said above, you guys stepping up is awesome and please dont stop doing it.
I would love to see 5..6...10 freep leaders again. I always understand real life taking point. And it should always be like that. But it pains me to see the freep cycle through leaders so much over time.

And I say this honestly as I value the Elendilmir community 100%. If you guys need anything...Let us know!! We have been getting together on this side and have been trying to get ideas on ways to boost the freeps up a bit. So if you need anything, let us know.

4 in group? I guess that goes to show that non grouped minis are just as deadly and dangerous and the raid ones. We counted 9 in your vicinity during multiple fights. Keeping those guys in combat is a battle on its own Healing was amazing! you guys are awesome. STOP IT

Going back a couple of posts, all we seriously need Yick is someone who has a good temperament, a solid head on his/her shoulders and some advice to kick up raid leading during US prime time. Because honestly, the E freep community is fantastic. The recent bunch of additions such as folk from Catalyst/Elitist etc. really adds to this place - and generally, everyone out here is ready to group up and listen (as they do for me every time).

So, someone who can square their shoulders, step up and lead us to victory. And, preferrably, someone who doesn't have a RL commitments, such as I

To be fair, as far as group fights go we don't really add much other than a speed bump.

Wasn't referencing to the fact that you guys mostly stick to yourself, was merely recognising the latest arrivals to E's community. And, despite what Alek will say, the majority of you do add to this place in a positive way, whether you intend to, or not. So cheers for making this place your home anyway.
