Thread: Coupon Code Invalid message everytime I try to use the Free Sample coupon code

Once in a while I will buy something from the LOTRO Store and when I do I try to use the coupon code for the Free Sample. I have never been able to successfully use the code.

I am not trying to use the code more than once, this happens the first time I try to use it.

Does anyone else have this issue? It's not a huge deal but it is kind of disheartening.

Make sure your useing the correct current code Letters must be all cap to work properly.

Make sure the Item is actually in your cart it does not self add the item it is like Walmart you
pick up the item take it to check out hand them the coupon they deduct the correct amount.
It must be the exact item if it is for a single use item you do not get to present the coupon
for a stack of 5 and get one free.

Well, this might be a problem this time. The actual fee sample is Hope tokens of 15 mins and there are no such tokens in the shop. I tried the coupon code with both available 30 minute tokens, works with neither.
Someone tell me how to find the actual 15 minute tokens, plz

There is but it's only available to characters under level 50 boo hiss

I found "+5 Hope Token (15 min)" under Browse > Buffs & Boosts > Combat > Hope while logged into a level 49 character. I also found them by searching "hope". But the store doesn't show all items to all characters, so your toon's level and class may cause the store to not offer this item to you -- for example, my level 49 toon doesn't see the 30-minute tokens.

Hmm, ok that's it then. Thanks for the help, i wouldn't have thought of that.

Ok I think this is where I am going wrong. I failed to put the item that the coupon is for in my cart before I tried to use the code. Thanks for the reply

Same problem here, never managed to get a sample from the coupon code during purchase :/
All the time a get a error message saying the coupon code is invalid.
