Thread: Macsen not handing out Daily Wood Shipment in Galtrev

Macsen no longer has a ring over his head and I am unable to get the quest Daily Wood Shipment in Galtrev. I've submitted a bug report, but I am wondering if anyone else has this problem. It's only on one character - the first one to reach 75 and the one that's done that quest the most. Maybe there's actually a limit to how many times you can do it? The other level 75 I have still can see the quest ring and get the quest.

He has been and is working for me on 3 Alts. (Just checked). Must be something else.

Does that character have the quest in its quest log? Maybe you have it and don't realize it.

I go past Macsen every time I port to Galtrev and run to the Crafting Hall -- which is daily, or pretty nearly -- and he's always got a ring. Further, I have not investigated.

Just to add to the number of responses, I'll chime in. I did it tonight with a level 70, and afterward he got the hourglass ring, so seems normal. Had the level 75 done it before? I mean, I haven't heard of any repeatables switching off like that, so that's not likely the issue.

That is a level 68 quest. At level 75, your character is too high a level to get the quest from Macsen. It is only available to characters level 63-73.

Interesting. I checked with Tantalus. Strangely it is offerred to her. No idea what is up. Some sort of wierd bug as part of Update 7 like the deeds in Great River not opening.

Sorry Yula, you are incorrect on this one. All of my 75s can get the quest, always have been, just checked it and he's there with a ring. There has to be another reason the OP can't get the quest from him.

LOL, Hiya Yula, yeah...don't post often. I think I have more posts with my other account though.

I was able to get this quest daily at level 75. When I say I did this quest frequently, I'm talking VERY frequently. I was level 75 3 days after ROI went live and even before the changes to the dailies, I was doing them. I do not have the quest currently in my log. There is NO ring above the head, not an in-progress blue, a faded gold, or a blue-gold...nothing. He's just like all the other NPCs that you cannot interact with in any way.

Furthermore, my level 75 captain has been able to get the quest every day and still is able to get it. There is a ring above his head when logging in on him.

I have a friend that was unable to get daily quests for several months and actually had to PAY people to gather quests and share them with him (dailies for TC). Same kind of thing - the disheartening thing was that he indicated that GMs doubted him and would not believe him. It appeared to them that he was able to do so. He also offered to take video of it and send it in and was told it wasn't necessary.

I'm just hoping that I've reached a limit. That'd be fine. It was a great way to replenish potions and get a little extra ixp everyday for a minute or two of work.

Edit: the quest is now active again! I am not sure when, but upon riding into Galtrev, I noticed the ring above his head. It seems to have been corrected.

My hunter was having the same problem until he stumbled upon the NPC Urien who gave him 2 quests that were the daily quests. After he did them the quest ring was above Macsen's head
