    Thinking about Champion

Hey folks, figured I'd turn to the folks who play Champions often for my questions. <grins>
I'm thinking of making a Champion alt, and am curious how they hold up throughout the game? I know they are primary DPS, but with tanking abilities.

How well do they tank, if geared and traited right?

How is their DPS, especially when looking at endgame?

And how well do they handle PvP? I'm not hugely into PvP, but it is fun on occasion.

And lastly, how smooth is soloing as one?

With apologies for the short answers:

Tank? Very well, if geared and traited for it.

DPS? Best AoE DPS, top-tier single target DPS, especially in a raid.

PvP? One of the top classes in the Moors right now.

    Soloing? Quite easy.

You can tank any 3- or 6-man instances with ease.

I have not tried tanking Orthanc except 3 Sarumans at the end of phase 5, but I know Champions who tank tier 2 bosses (though I think the Lightning boss will be pretty difficult due to the fight mechanics).

Best sustained AOE DPS (but AOE DPS matters less in raids) and arguably the best effective or actual single-target DPS (Hunters can do more on dummies, but they have to be more careful in raids, because they cannot dump aggro as easily and as frequently).

Don't know. I don't PvP much, but it seems that Champions are feared in PvP.

    Soloing is a joke.
