I have just started playing after a year's absence (read pre-RoI). Before I got lost on the way to the bathroom, I was trying to get the best non-raid gear that I could find. There were a number of forum posts about good gear set-ups that I was working off of at the time. Since I started back, I haven't really been able to find anything that was comparable. I have seen a post with screenshots of gear, but as I'm new I don't really know what the gear is, so thought I'd ask for input in the form of a list.
Let me also say, that I'm wanting a good Single Target DPS gear set-up for soloing, but I'm sure people could also use a good gear set-up for group instances/raids if different (which I imagine is the case). I'd also like it if I could get a list that is non-raid gear as I generally don't have the time to raid. I realize that opinions may vary on particular items, but at least this will point me in the right direction as to what I should be trying to get for a level 75 champ.
Here's my current gear set-up (and please note that I'm only level 66 now and haven't found anything in the first Dunland village worth using):
1. Head - Malledhrim Helmet of Haleness
2. Shoulders - Daervunn's Pauldrons
3. Chest - Blademaster's Breastplate
4. Gloves - Blademaster's Gauntlets
5. Legs - Blademaster's Leggings
6. Boots - Blademaster's Boots
7. Back - Egnion-clog
8. Ear 1 - Glowing Aureate Hoop of Combat
9. Ear 2 - Glowing Aureate Hoop of Combat
10. Necklace - Tinc-laeth
11. Pocket - Painted Vane
12. Bracelet 1 - Angechor
13. Bracelet 2 - Angechor
14. Ring 1 - Ril-Mir
15. Ring 2 - Dreng-hring
16. Mainhand - 3rd Age LI - Legacies: AoE Damage; Crit Damage Multiplier; Relentless/Remoresless Strikes; Wild Attack Damage; Might; Rend Reduction
17. Offhand - Authmagol
18. Rune - 2nd Age LI - Legacies: Bracing Attack; Might; Strikes Line Power Cost; Agility; Vitality; Rend Pulses
You can get 4 pieces of the Draigoch armour set (all but helm and shoulders) with medallions or seals (not hard to get with 3 mans and 6 mans).
There's also a jewelry set (pocket, ring and earring) that you get with reputation/quest items in the new area (Great River). If you are not yet 75 you can basically get all the rep/items for these while leveling up.
Great River crafted earrings are really good as well, and if im not mistaken you can barter a good wristpiece with tokens in Stangard.
Other than that, there's Trenardhrin a ring from Foundry (6 man) that is also good.
Last but not least, from all the Isengard instances you get sigils, which you deconstruct for sigil fragments, which you barter for a necklace that you can upgrade.
Hope i helped, don't have all the specific names but that's about the best you can get without having to do a single raid.
Forgot about the offhand! The best one is a crafted club, it's the Balanced Heavy Club of the Stoic.
Oh and Green Garnet Bracelets are great because of the morale and crit they provide if you end up being squishy.
draig set is bad lol bottom line its a 100%might buid yes but if i were u id get the orthanc set tha 5set bonus for it gives 10% crti hit multiplyer but also u hav to find a good raidin kin to run uthrough all tha orthanc wings

The Moors sets are decent, too. Each piece wastes a stat "slice" on Audacity that's useless outside the Moors, but then there are set bonuses to consider. It's probably faster to grind the medallions for the Draigoch armor (you can get a Draigoch piece roughly every ~2 Foundry runs if you pay in medallions I believe) but if you're not able to do 6-man content the Moors might be a better option.
There's also a purple Orthanc set that doesn't have a deed requirement, but since it costs seals *and* medallions, and the fact that it's not really even as good as the Draigoch armor, you should probably skip it (except for maybe the helm and shoulders if you can get the rest as Draigoch pieces).
Good guide by Thomasborn - that will get you to a pretty substantial dps build that will see you through non-raid content pretty easily (and skraids too).
I'd argue with the 'best' description of the Balanced Heavy Club of the Stoic - I've got my OCD min/max hat on today it seems!
It's definitely one of the best, but I'd put forward a case for the Deadly Straight Sword of the Stoic as being better than it. Pretty much the same stats as the Club, but has more Vit in place of the ICPR. 57 ICPR is not a lot, and working even untraited Second Wind into your rotation would give you more ICPR than that, and leave you with an extra 160 morale + other Vit benefits.
Afaik, both recipes only drop from Orthanc, so you'd be relying on someone else getting the recipe and either selling you that or the finished product.

You'd be right, but the Sword has (really lame) common damage, while the club has beleriand. I was so upset when i noticed that that i even made a bug report, because the caster output of the sword has beleriand damage also.
I guess if he doesn't plan to raid damage type ain't that important, but common damage is really bad.
Great spot - outfoxed by damage type again, dammit!
In fact, having non-common dmg is possibly more important for non-raiders, as iirc (but could be wrong, and happy to be corrected) there are some bosses of ToO (and Draigoch) where bosses have lower resistance to common than anything else.
So, to summarise, a wholly accurate summary of a non-raid dps champ build from Thomasborn then

Is this just best for a single target dps champ, or is it just as good for someone who usually runs in ardor for aoe, or sometimes glory? I rarely do fervor.
Things have changed a bit if you've been away long. No more stat caps. So assuming you are dealing damage (whether in fervour or that strange stance people tell me about ) you want:
lots of might
500+ agi so you can hit things
crit, crit, and more crit!
physical mastery (you'll get lots from just about anything)
enough vit to stay alive (opinions on this amount vary wildly, and I'm one of the weirdos who'll grab vit over straight morale any day because vit provides mitigations as well)
If you go Glory, it changes a bit, and your primary stat is going to be vitality, and you'll want to stack some morale on top of it (assuming you're tanking, and why else would you go glory?)
I wouldn't personally use ardour even if I were AOE'ing, but the differences lie in the traitlines, and not in the stats, for both stances.
Ardour is my main stance, and I only use fervour when there's a tank nearby taking hits for me. I don't bash fervour or anything, but I rarely use it. I'd rather aoe in a group anyway, and leave the STDs to the hunter. They really get around, you know.
Oh yes. But here's a nifty thing that happened when they changed champs around: no more healing penalty in fervour!
Granted, you may already know that, and still like ardour, but if that's part of what held you back, no need to worry about it anymore. And you'll generate a lot more pips in fervour so that you can shing more often - what's not to love there?
The avoidance negation was the main thing, but I am grateful that they took out the healing penalty. I'm not sure why they'd take what was probably the most popular stance and make it stronger. I'm glad they revamped ardour, though. I remember it being different.
