I am curious I was doing a stand at amon sul skraid last night and it failed because it went laggy on us after the first section. Basically it was so bad people were still fighting 5 minutes after it failed, and I wasn't able to control my char at the time it failed. Does this skraid have lag issues or what it just a bad night?

It can be bad. There's a lot going on. I know on my old PC, I would be down and out the last 3 minutes or so myself.
I know a lot of people do it differently, but the most manageable and least laggy way is to not even hit the boss. At certain morale points, the adds spawn. The longer the adds are a live, the more defensive buffs they get.
Most people seem to DPS the boss to death, then try to deal with the 15 adds all with 4 defensive buffs on them. At this point, you're stuck in the skirmish for another 10 minutes trying to kill them all.
I like to keep the boss where he spawns and deal with the adds as they come.
I have a quad processor and a ati 5770, it shouldn't be my computer and we were in the second set of attacks there weren't even 10 adds that I could see anyway it was a real mess in that little circle.

not sure why this one in particular has this issue, but yes this skirm does seem to lag some people out especially on raid size. maybe something with the interactivity of the bonfires makes them graphics hogs for some reason or perhaps there's something about the cargul (i believe its not usually until the end that i've heard people having the major lag issues, but not sure as i've never had the problem myself). maybe just so many charcters in so small a space is a problem, although until the end you never have more than 2-4 mobs at a time (not counting lieutenants that summon adds anyway) in addition to your raid (seems to me not having to load as much terrain, and outside of the final battle, less characters/mobs than pretty much any skirm, would mean less stress; but clearly i'm no expert )
