Bought Mithril Edition, what else do I need to maximize questing?

So I just purchased the Mithril Edition, but I am kinda confused with what areas come with it and which quest areas I still need to buy. I noticed someone mention Evendim and Mirkwood in another thread....what about misty mountains? I'm trying to get a checklist going of what quest packs I have unlocked and which to buy extra. I'm baffled as to why i can't access a page on my account that show active quest packs. Any help is appreciated guys! Thanks.

You have (with the Mithril Edition):

Starting Areas (Ered Luin, Breeland, The Shire)
    Lonelands
    Trollshaws
    Eregion
    Mines of Moria
    Lothlorien

This leaves the following Quest Packs:

    North Downs (lvls 20-40)
    Evendim (lvsl 20-40)
    Forochel (lvls 40-50)
    Angmar (lvls 40-50)
    Misty Mountains (lvls 40-50)
Enedwaith (lvls 60-70 - this might have changed with RoI)
    Great River (lvls 75+)

    Mirkwood Expansion Pack
    Rise of Isengard Expansion Pack

Personally, I'd start at the bottom and work your way up, buying higher level packs whenever they're on sale (festivals are good for this). Trollshaws has a lot of group content, so if you're primarily a solo player, Evendim is a good idea, and has the nice advantage of some pretty easy fetch and carry quests in Oatbarton, which characters can do at lvl 25 for a boat-load of experience (making Lonelands/North Downs considerably easier). On the other hand, if you like group content, there are sure to be plenty of people trying out the revamped North Downs. I prefer Evendim, but ymmv.

For the mid-levels, you're going to need to grind mobs in multiple areas for the Legendary Book pages. You have Eregion, which word of warning: is very graphics heavy, and probably the laggiest area in the game due to all those beautifully rendered trees. The pages drop in two groups: half in Misty Mountains/Forochel/Moria and the other half in Eregion/Angmar/Moria. You have Eregion, so probably MM or Forochel is a better choice - and of the two, Forochel is unquestionably better value unless you really must play the Helegrod Raid in MM. You get a lot more quests for your points, and you also get a chance to boost a unique reputation faction (whereas MM just boosts Thorin's Hall and Rivendell), which is helpful for doing the Epic Books there. Forochel is also mostly solo material. Angmar might also be worth a look, if you can bear the grim scenery - there's a chunk tonne of quests and material, not to mention the Rift Raid, though you might struggle to find a group to do some of the fellowship quests depending on your server.

Enedwaith is nice, and cheaper than the Mirkwood expansion, and also isn't as dark and brooding, if scenery is important to you. But probably, by the time you're done grinding Moria quests, Skirmishes and Lothlorien, you'll nearly be ready for Dunland anyway, so you can probably afford to put off buying this until it crops up in a sale.

There is a gap between the mid 30's to 40 that you can cover with Evendim (one of my favorite zones since they revamped it) other than that, you really don't need to buy anything else. The pages for your Legendary Book all drop in Moria and you can just grind them there. If your pressed for money, this is the most economical way to go. otherwise go ahead and use sarlinspellweaver's advice above.

Edit: Almost forgot, you WILL need Mirkwood and Rise of Isengard.

You'll need Evendim for 30-40, and for ease of questing from 40 to 50, you're going to want either Angmar or Forochel, depending on preference.

Both nice areas, Forochel doesn't start until 44, but the newest area of the Trollshaws, Echad Candelleth, can give you a couple of levels in your early 40s - and it's a lot more fun than the rest of Trollshaws.

Angmar is a love it or hate it zone, I love it, and you can get from 40 to 50 doing just solo quests there, though there are lots of fellowship quests, the Rift raid, and the Carn Dum and Urugarth instances - both of which are old instances and truly epic in scope - that's also where your major class quest items come from if you don't buy them from a skirmish vendor.

Forochel is very solo friendly, and has some nice reputation recipes if you're a crafter. There's no wood at all there, though. Still, I usually get kindred with Forochel on all my toons, and do a lot of Angmar as well - pages to find in both zones.

What for, if he takes Enedwaith? The epics there are free.

I don't believe you'll need Mirkwood. Now that Eneidwaith covers the same level span, it's a completely parallel path of development. However, if you like skirmishes I think Mirkwood comes with several and Eneidwaith doesn't.

By the way... while Mirkwood IS an expansion zone (which really only VIPs need to understand) it is no longer available in an expansion pack. If you want it, your only choice is the Mirkwood quest pack.

(Basically, all the things that came with Mirkwood at its original release are now either available to everyone or no longer needed.)

The Mirkwood skirmishes are part of the epic, and are free; the only requirement to unlock is to complete the respective epic chapter.

Actually, there's a whole set of stuff for Volume II epilogue that ARE locked to Mirkwood. Folks complain about that all time, since the Epilogue isn't strictly part of the Epic and its instances don't come for free.

But I'm glad we both agree that Mirkwood is not required.
