Thread: Post-U7, audio not working properly -- sliders keep auto-setting to 100% on log in

Anyone else having issues under audio options where the "Sound Effects Volume" slider keeps setting itself back to 100% whenever you log in and out of a character or restart the client? It's just rather annoying as of now, as I have to keep remembering to slide it back down to 20% or so each time I log back in (and yes, I am hitting the "Accept" button when done lol).

are you successfully logging out after? If you have made any changes they aren't actually saved until a successful logout, ie: if you crash they all revert to what they were.

You are not alone. This also happened to me today. Exact same issue. Normal log outs since Update 7.

I have a somewhat opposite problem on Windows XP. My sliders are set at 100% but every time I log in, the volume sounds 50% muted. If I touch the music slider (just move it a bit), the volume jumps to the appropriate setting of the slider.

So my problem actually isn't that the sliders are resetting. It's that the volume isn't initialized to be consistent with the slider position, post-U7.

Same problem here. Although funnily enough it's only happening on a new toon I made on a new server. All my usual toons on my other server are unaffected.
