We heartily invite you to our next concert in the Weatherstock Concert Series!
We will have "The Chosen Few" from the server Laurelin playing on Friday, May 25th at 6pm /servertime (yes that is a chat-line command) in Bree at the Prancing Pony.
Woe is me! The concert is today, and I still haven't decided which hat to wear - the red fancy one, the black spiffy one or go with latest fashion trends and buy a flower circlet.
I would like to thank you kindly all the lovely folk of Landroval for attending our performance tonight. It was the most amazing evening and so nice to see so many happy people. a very special thank you to Miss Anthemisi for her warm welcome, support and help with logistics and pies. Please be always welcome on Laurelin and know you have a true friend there too.
Sadly I will personally not be able to perform at the main Weatherstock event as I am off to a great adventure soon, but I shall indeed visit Landroval in the future to meet you again and make some music together .
Congratulations to The Chosen Few for an outstanding concert!
This was most awesome, they continuously played catchy tunes and good rhythms. Everyone had really good times and I was quite exhausted after the show from all the dancing!
First of all, a big 'Thank You!' to all the people attending our little show on friday.
It was the best audience we could ever hope of. Amazing!
/bow bows deeply for the audience.
I can just add to Amorey's words higher up here to praise both the people behind the
event and Miss Anthemisi for her splendid help getting everything we needed in order
before the concert. A thank you to miss Venerab for taking the time filming those tunes,
and to miss Floradine for a very eager 'trigger finger' regarding over a hundred photo's
from the event. Thank you so much all of ya.
We will surely be back to hold other concerts for ya fine people. We got 'a few' songs
more ya might say.... :-)
Thank you all once again for a superb evening.
On the behalf of the Chosen Few
Grymrock Grey.
PS, the 'hopping song' is a well known tune in the Shire area of Laurelin and are performed by
a lot of the bands around there. Its a two part tune where ya are supposed to hop at the
'fast part' and relax on the other half :-)
The "hopping song", as folks seem to be calling it, is the Bywater Bouncing Song, a tune put together by Lina Willowwood of the Songburrow Strollers @Laurelin!
And the Songburrow Strollers will be playing their part of the Weatherstock Concert Series on Saturday, June 2nd! That's less than a week away! I hope to see all of you there.
*cheers*

Aha, Bywater Bouncing Song, a catchy name! This is why I like having cross-server events: it gives us a chance to be exposed to some of these things which are apparently common knowledge in the culture of another server.
The Songburrow Strollers have started their long journey to Weatherstock 2012! On the way, they will stop in Bree to resupply foods, look for local biscuit recipes and have an ale or three (preferably in pints).
Oh, and unless them ales are too strong, they will play their Weatherstock Warmup Concert as well. Looking forward to this Saturday, June 2! 4PM servertime at the Town Hall, hope ter see many of yer there!
So... what can yer expect from them Strollers? Here is one clue...

My favorite memory from last years Weatherstock was that biscuit song! Can't wait for a chance to (hopefully) eat and dance to it again!
Oh my! It were a long journey from Frogmorton, but I have arrived at the Prancing Pony! There are others coming along behind me as well, so I hope that ol' Butterbur has enough beds for all of us!
After I have a chance to rest and eat a few biscuits, I'll be wandering around Bree. I'll be in the easily recognizable Stroller Green, so if ya see me, do introduce yerself!

I was astounded to see so many Andunie members ready to play tonight, it seems more are joining us every day. Andunie members present for the concert in Bree were Kalluin, Taendis, Manadhlaer, Alcano, Phedelene, Makalaure, Celessa, Fionnuala, Ledepeter, Thonriel, Tameren, Ancalimo, and Telperusse. With so many members available we had some confusion with a few songs what with strings breaking and woodwinds needing new reeds but we got through a huge lineup of songs. (almost two hours!) Unfortunately I did not take any screenshots so I would appreciate it if others could pass them on. Thanks!
First up yesterday was Don't Tempt Me, Frodo who played a very entertaining set and got all the audience up their feet!
Their music was somewhat... different... not only that I don't have any clue where "Russia" may be but how blocks could fall horizontally instead of vertically really boggled not only my mind. The music was quite funny though!
The audience -as could be expected in the Shire- was formed mostly by Hobbits. And if anyone knows how to have a good party then it's us! And the band kept us happy all the time!
And then the mother of two band members came by for a visit! And of course the band played a special song just for her. If your mother is a Hobbit you better keep her amused! (ooc to explain: We are talking about their RL mother here )
The third and last band playing on this Saturday was Andúnië, an all elven band and they were somewhat different indeed from the previous bands with their elven themes in their songs. And as they were the last band playing that day they had the advantage of an open end... and used it well. They played for an awesome 1 hour and 40 minutes!
The crowd started out being a bit small but grew constantly.
But their music was not all "elvish sweet and lovely" if you know what I mean. They also were capable of getting the crowd to dance! Oh yes! And you know who's gonna dance if there are dancing tunes to dance to!
And then they surprised the audience with a quite unusual piece... Look at all those drums!
This was an outstanding concert! Thank you Andúnië for your wonderful performance!
Ooh, those are some lovely pictures. Thank yer! And thanks to them organizers for all help and support so far, yer been grand, yer have.
Else, we had us a good time last night! Warming up with Don't Tempt Me Frodo and recovering after our own show with Anduine, and of course playing our own concert. It was grand to meet friends both old and new there, and the dancing got quite wild at times. Just as we like it!
Miss Rowana has also made some pictures from the night, yer can see them all at the Grand Order forums
Ooh, and now to answer some interview questions before heading towards Weathertop... Hope to see yer all there in two weeks!
Don't Tempt Me Frodo had an absolutely amazing time at our concert. Thanks so much to all who attended. (Even the guy who booed us. As I said at the show, boos are fine since they are only applause from ghosts.)
The welcome we have received from the vast majority of Landroval has been quite frankly humbling. You are all amazing people, and we truly cannot wait for the main event.
Hearts stars and horseshoes,
Chas
ps: Thank you for being nice to my mom.
pss: Our set ran about an hour and a half. Not too shabby for the opening band, IMO.

I assume that means "if" Ingolemo can stay out of jail. I seriously reccommend this show. They are not two time Weatherstock award winners by accident!
Aw... 5:30 am here in Moscow, Fionnuala. I wanted to see your band, I missed it on the last Weatherstock due to the time difference!
I'll make sure to see you this year on the summit.
