Thread: clasp rage

1st im not here to brag
2nd sry for my english

now my kin/group have beatin suramn t1 alot since it comes out im talkin about 20 kb or more on him and we still didnt see 1 clasp drops lol
im usualy the leader so no leader cheating or anything

in crick there is only 4-6 ppl have the clasp, fyi we have like 6-8 raider kins that finish's it weekly since it comes out
we are talkin about over 100 kb on him and only 4-6 clasp
did lotro forget that every player need from 1-2 so if u have a 12 raid group that will make it 24 week just to get everyone there clasp
our raid group is the same from day 1 and we didnt see it drop yet

i know it a 100% drop on t2 but dont wanna bug it and our group not rdy yet for it on t2
what about t1 its 50% ? i think its -10% lol

i just hope they make it a 100% drop u already need 2-4 month for every1 in ur raid to have theres
every week we say we will get it this week and nothing when we open the chest

its rly annoying and a waste of time
for me i want it coz its the last upgrade i want on my gaurd

is it like this on all servers or it just another lotro bug ???

Tier 1 is 50%, which is pretty generous for some of the top end jewelry/cloaks in the game. Sorry bud, you have to do the harder content for the better rewards.

Not everyone gets every item they want.

I'm surprised you would think anyone would guess that you are bragging about beating Saruman T1?

I believe you are mistaken on this. Asylum alone already has 11 clasps And this is just one kin of the server who runs it only when people are available. (We hardly ran Saruman during Feb-March since drop rate wasn't worth it) There are several pugs clearing Saruman each week aside from the other raiding kins/groups, and I hear from plenty of people beating the wing and obtaining clasps.

Yes they are rare, but the 50% chance really evened out the field and we have gotten one or twice every week since Update 6, as have other groups. I'm sorry you are having bad luck, but keep trying, perseverance is often rewarded.

Not much comfort to you Medo, and nothing compared to Asylum's haul, but I know Tollimbor got a clasp from a run of Razor's revived raid group recently, just to add to the Crickhollow numbers.

Anyone know how many FC & NBA have seen drop?

fex u think 11 is good enough ??!!

count how many ppl need it in ur kin
and how many times u finish it to get those 11

then compare to how fast/easy u get ur 1st age
then tell me ur happy enough with those 11 clasp

fyi 11 is better than nothing but still
with 1 clasp a week the time u need is way too much for and item that u need 2 off

im not complaining about my luck with the clasp
its just
1 clasp at 100% drop rate every week is BS

this is wht i think will make alot of ppl feel better

make it drop from other wings too
like orthanc t2 wings with 50% chance idc just more chance to get it other than from 1 chest

This just can't work. If you think about it as what it is. Sure it's a loot drop, but it is the clasp from the cloak around Saruman's neck if it drops in other wings it can't make sense. The reason it drops in the Saruman fight is because it is imagined that during the fight, you damaged the clasp and it fell, hence why you can take it. Getting it in lighting implies that he's very careless and clumsy with his belongings, just dropping the clasp from his cloak all over the tower and surrounding grounds.

That's easy enough to fix. Just build a 'Saurman's Closet' wing, where we fight our way through Underwear Gnomes and Uncommon Sock Eaters to get to his stash of extra cloak clasps.

Do you usually wear a belt buckle on your head? Because that makes about as much sense as putting a cloak clasp on a GIANT CLUB.

There are a lot of items with a low drop rate from one specific boss. This isn't a new feature. Just because you think that everyone should get every item that they want in-game doesn't mean that they will or that Turbine agrees (which clearly they don't, or otherwise they'd have every raid loot item available on a vendor in the Shire for 5s each)

It also makes about as much sense as having a teal necklace from the First Age that's missing the big gem in the middle, then finding some broken cloak clasp that's *also* missing the gem, repairing the clasp by adding some common-as-dirt green garnet to it, then somehow gluing the clasp to the necklace which then somehow makes it have the missing 1st Age gem back in its slot.

lol u dont get the idea of my thread

eveything in the game is easy to get cept the clasp
why coz u have more chance to get it from more than 1 place
if they put an item like that with lots of ppl want it should be more place's to get it
even if its a 100% chance at t1 its still 1 each week is too low drop rate since everything else as i said way easier to get
ex : 1st age symbol

I'm curious.. what in the world do all 12 of you 'need' a clasp for?? what are you planning to do that necessitates 24 clasps??

You can get two clasps per run if you beat Saruman T2C. That's certainly not easy to do, but it shouldn't be easy to acquire considering the clasp is needed for the (arguably) best necklaces and cloaks available at the moment.

working on it but its not gonna happend soon at least with challenge way to many offlines lately

its just funny that every1 in our kin have a 2-3 1st age and none have a clasp

But since it's a t1 and a total faceroll (most of the time) 50% is generous enough imho. And your estimate of the numbers of clasps on our server really is quite off, we have at least 3 in our group (that I can think of immediately, I don't pay much attention, I'm pretty sure there's more) and another few in FC. If you don't like the droprate, start working on t2 . Gold items shouldn't be something everyone can grind out in a matter of few hours.
