Re: Ride of the Free Peoples!
Thanks again to the Sons of Numenor and Benjimir for hosting and organizing such a memorable event! This was by far the most fun I've ever had on LOTRO since I picked it up for a short time back in 2008.
Thanks to everyone on the ride for protecting my poor Hambur's ride through the Lone-lands and the Trollshaws! You allowed my Level 7 Champ to travel from The Shire to Rivendell with nary a scratch (apart from numerous saddle-sores from the borrowed saddle on my borrowed horse)! I just switched from Brandywine to Landroval because I found role-playing quite intruiging, and because of events like this you should see Hambur all over Eriador in the months ahead!
There were a few moments that were more memorable than others. The ride down into Rivendell was magnificent, as I have never been to this place at any time in the past with any of my characters. It was truly spectacular. Riding into Bree-town was also something I took many pictures of. However, the most memorable part for me was riding in formation over the Brandywine Bridge. When it's music started up and played overtop of the sound of all those horses clacking on the stone bridge, it made my skin turn cold and every hair on my arms and neck stood at attention.
I will remember the journey I had yesterday for the rest of my days. Thanks again!

Re: Ride of the Free Peoples!
Yep! A great event. Thanks to Sons of Numenor for the excellent planning and execution.
And also thanks to all the planners of the several Galloping Gala events. Although I didn't get to attend them all, I appreciate your time and talent. The ones I did get to attend were excellent. Hopefully more themed event formats will be presented by Turbine in the future and more volunteers will graciously step forward to host events. It was good fun for all! Cheers!

Re: Ride of the Free Peoples!
It was great to see such a big turn out for the ride.
The protectors did a great job in keeping us lower level characters safe for the journey.
(I'm only lvl 25 on Landroval and my friend was lvl 10)
Ale was flowing and pipeweed smoke filled the Hall of Fire along the music from the band.
(Did anyone tell Elrond we were coming?)
Looking forward to the next event.

Re: Ride of the Free Peoples!
We were all thrilled folks enjoyed themselves and had a chance to see what we enjoy about the weekly practice.
Moving forward, we look to do this on the second-to-last Sunday evening of each month. (Starting next month.) And on special occasions. Likewise, since we like to support community events when we can, we would be happy to do escort ventures to other activities.
