Re: "Sorrow of Hunters" rhymes and witty sayings thread
something i found on the internet. looks to be from when ROI came out.
Come! Come! come down down to Hunter Town... were everyone's miserable and complaint's all around!
Come! Come! Down! Down! down to the shadows of rot and no sun
Were everything's broken and old and undone!
Down to the hopeless search for a fix!
Surely come down and join in the Mix!
Where Devs have forsaken their positions of old
Where the seat of development is covered in Mold!
We'll have a fine time and sob over our broken Crown
Come Down Down and even more Down
to the hopeless and loathsome cracked-up Hunter Town!

I posted this in a different thread recently but am reposting because it caused Silmahad to LOL and I think it's quite funny.
I think the Professor said it best. With apologies to him...
'Hope on then!' laughed Zombiethor. 'Do I not know thee, Mithhuntir? Thy hope is to rule DPS, to stand behind every raid, north, south, or west. I have read thy mind and its policies. Do I not know that you commanded this RK here to keep silence? That you brought him hither to be a spy within my very chamber? And yet in our speech together I have learned the names and purpose of all thy companions. So! With the left hand thou wouldst use me for a little while as a shield against Guild Wars, and with the right bring up this Employer of the Devs to supplant me.
'But I say to thee, Anxious Mithhuntir, I will not be thy tool! I am Steward of the Class of Huntardion. I will not step down to be the dotard chamberlain of an upstart. Even were his claim proved to me, still he comes but of the line of Sane Developers Who Give A Toss. I will not bow to such a one, last of a ragged class long bereft of lordship and dignity.'

On Legolas
“He was tall as a young tree, lithe, immensely strong, able swiftly to draw a great war-bow and shoot down a Nazgûl, endowed with the tremendous vitality of Elvish bodies, so hard and resistant to hurt that he went only in light shoes over rock or through snow, the most tireless of all the Fellowship.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Book of Lost Tales, Part Two
On the Lotro hunter
"He was as numerous as the trees, induction rooted, immensely squishy, able swiftly to draw a great war-bow that always missed a black arrow, endowed with the least vitality of all LOTRO classes, so soft and easy to hurt in his medium shoes, camoflaged atop rocks or deep in bushes, the most desirable creep meal of all the Fellowship."
--- Lotro, ROI, The Book of how can we limit pew pew in the moarrrz.

DDDD - but why is his hand nowhere near the arrow? And why is he holding the bow straight vertical rather than the slight angle that allows you to get a good pull and sight properly?
