Changes to damage output in PvMP

In my last thread I told you about how the devs altered Punctured Target to do less damage overall. As it turns out U7 brought other changes to PvMP which will drastically affect gameplay for creeps but will do even less so for freeps.

I'll try to keep it short and sweet.
    • Creep attacks have been standardized to do nominal damage amounts.
Attacks will do a set amount of damage based on a number of factors for the sake of gameplay. Normal hits (non-critical) will be reduced by your opponent's mitigation and have a consistent value. Unlike before, there will no longer be a variable range of values that are possible with your attacks. The only time where a range of values for attack damage are possible is with DoTs and with partial hits/avoidances. Critical hits have been set in incremental damage amounts and do not vary unless some other modifier (like target level or combat buff) applies.

    • Damage over time attacks do inflict a variable amount but have been significantly reduced by mitigation. Damage amounts registering only in the double digits (for a 175-250 fire dmg DoT attack) are a distinct possibility now against heavy armour and high mitigation class foes. The overall result is that DoT damage has become less effective for creeps.
    • Critical hit chance has not been changed but critical output has been capped at +40% (of your tooltip amount) for dev crits as a creep. To my knowledge, this specific change has relatively minor affect as far as freeps are concerned because they have always been allowed to use items/trait which increase their critical magnitude above their normal modifiers as long as they have skills which utilize them. The critical output reduction also applies when attacking NPCs.
These are the major changes in PvMP that I've have seen so far since noticing them on Bullroarer and logging on to the U7 update. I invite your comments and discussion about these changes.

For the most part crit magnitude gear has been removed from freep side with RoI, thats not to say there isnt some still around, but not a much as there was previously.

That's because many freeps have something that gives a guaranteed crit so there is no need for extra crit chance if you get a for sure crit XD.

You seem confused on how tactical crit multiplier works. Say MINI uses call to fate on you, It was doing to do 800 damage but the rng decided it crited. That 800 would be multiplied by 1.5+ additional crit multiplier so lets just say the mini has a ring that adds 6% tactical crit multiplier. The 800 would be multiplied by 1.56 so you get 1248 damage. That damage than goes through your mit calcs to decide how much damage you would actually take.

Freepside pvmp- For when your just not smart enough for WoW.

The DoT damage reduction applies to freep and creep alike?
