Discussion: U7 Deed Questions

These questions were already raised on the BR Forums, and mostly by other people, but I thought that I'd raise them here as well:

1) Allegedly new (hidden?) deed for solving all the Riddles in Moria: has anyone completed this or received credit for completing it upon logging in? If it's the latter, I'd appreciate it if someone could post the deed requirements, as I could've sworn that I had done every Moria quest (including the riddle quest chain) but don't have credit for it.

2) New deeds/titles added to RoF and Limlight Gorge: has anyone who already completed everything in RoF and LG received credit for these new deeds? Someone else pointed out that deeds/titles added to the Giant and Gwiber slaying deeds in Enedwaith did not retroactively grant the titles to those who'd completed the deeds already, so I'm wondering if the same thing applies here.

Any information that folks can provide regarding either of these is appreciated.

Yep, the Moria riddles deed auto-completed when I logged in. The name of the deed is Twist-tongued. The reward for completing it is the title, Twist-tongued. And in a perverse effort to keep you from finding out where all the riddles are, the deed lists only one element: "Solve all of Falgeirr Twisttongue's Riddles." So that's no help to you trying to isolate which one(s) you've missed.

I do indeed have the following deed titles from RoF and the Limlight Gorge. Don't know which, if any, are newly bestowed:

-- Explorer of the Limlight Gorge (from deed of same name)
-- Chronicler of Twilight (from Spirits of the Limlight deed)
-- Warrior of the Limlight Gorge (from the Quests of Limlight Gorge deed)
-- Waldengard (from the deed, Saviour of the Roots of Fangorn ... interestingly, this COULD be a typo where we got the German-language deed title, rather than English...or it could be intentional that EN players get a German-language title)
-- Slayer of Gurthul (from the RoF: Defeat Gurthul deed)

My deed log shows no title reward for the other two Limlight Gorge/RoF deeds, Roots of Fangorn: Slaves of the Spider Queen (to defeat Frushkul), nor Titan-Slayer / Titan-Slayer (Advanced).

Thank you very much for the response. I guess that I'll be wandering around Moria checking to see which Riddle Quests I missed.

As for the LG/RoF deeds, thank you again. I may have to keep an eye on what deeds and titles my latest alt to hit Great River gets and then compare them to my main.

Edit: Apparently I never noticed the plaque that gives the "Riddles in the Sunshine" quest, despite having taken 7 toons through Moria. Well done, me, well done. :P

For those interested in the Riddles Meta-Deed in Moria, here are all the quests that I could find in my completed quest log for it. As mentioned in a post above, the deed itself does NOT actually list them all out, so I'm assuming you need all of the ones that I had completed. Also, I was checking lotro-wiki and other sites for details on these, and it seems that they changed some of the names of some of the quests in the Moria revamp:

Under "Moria" heading:
*Riddles in the Library
*Riddles in the Old City (prior name: "Falgeirr Twisttongue")
*Riddles in the Stone
*Riddles in the Flames (prior name: "Riddles in the Doors")
*Riddles in the Walls
*Riddles in the Tomb

Under "Moria Hidden Content"
*Hidden Content - DNT - Riddles in the Locks***

Under "Lothlorien" heading:
*Riddles in the Sunshine

Also, I had not done some of these quests, and once I figured out which and where, it appears that order does not matter (as mentioned in the Dev Diary) for the most part. EXCEPT that you still HAVE to do "Sunshine" last (makes sense). I'm not sure if you need to do "Library" first, though, as I already had that completed.



***Footnote: I'm not sure if that quest, "Riddle in the Locks", is still active? What is this new section called "Hidden Content"? It's a mystery that just showed up in U7 and there are 5 quest under that heading in my completed quest log.

Man, I'm having a heck of a time trying to finish this one post update. Using the above post, and going through my log, I've completed Library, Old City, Stone, and Tombs. I have not finished Flames or Walls, nor can I get them to trigger as far as I can tell, and I do not have the DNT- Locks one completed. I get the feeling that the DNT-Locks one is the bridge I'm missing, and as it was removed, I can't seem to get the other ones going..

I'm totally stumped.

Edit: Ok, not 5 minutes later, I found it. The quest start moved from Gapi in Flaming deeps to a riddle panel on the wall. I'm checking my mail, look up, and see the glowing panel.. lol

Any one have any update on these supposed "new" titles added to deeds in the Limlight Gorge with Update 6? I'm sure many have run alts through there post U6, so I was wondering if there were any new deeds/titles as the patch notes stated? Thanks.

I finally did run my RK through RoF, and I can't recall seeing anything new.

To be fair, I didn't actually take the time to compare the titles that I earned to what my main already had, so this update isn't worth much. :P
