Thread: Withywindle Trivia Race Results and Pics

I am proud and happy to announce that our Trivia Race was a succes

Although it did not go perfectly and at one point it turned into sheer chaos :P it was fun and i hope all contestants had fun . After all it was a big and complex race and the fact that it actually was finished is a great acomplishment. For all that entered and did not win fear not you will receive some gifts in your mails on top of what you gained through the race. For those who won congratulations and for those who organised a job well done.

So the winners are:

1st Place - Tranduil
2nd Place - Adhrillos
3rd Place - Heraya

1st to reach Ridge Racer under level 55 - Eodallan

Prize for most fun contestant - Rosline (who broadcasted each and every dive into the abyss of Moria)
Prize for absolute perseverance - Vervain (who on just level 12 courageously persevered until he was found mostly uncouncious and full of dread by the wise Lore Master Scath somewhere between Trollshaws and Eregion some time after the race was over)
Prize new face on the server - Seethryth (who just being a freshman to LOTRO decided to join such a massive event only to be flabbergasted and end up in a situation not very different from the one above :P. And he said such nice things about our server i just had to give him something for teh effort).

* all of the 3 prizes of 100 TP were at my disposale to give or keep to myself so i used no logic into giving them, just gave them to whomever i found to be nice.
* the issue of the codes not working is being looked into. Wait patiently for the solution

So ill be posting some Screenies and i call for all to post impressions, pics and thoughts. Any feedback on the event is also apreaciated

Parents had visitors so no chance i could get online in time and what i see i have missed a good event (respect for that already Landrovas! keep them coming (i will start farming gold so i can donate some prize money then again!)). Great screenie's Rosline! you got also some from your broadcasting? As far i know you that would have been great to follow (and probably my horse would stop walking from laughing! )



ps. if any dev reads this would it be possible to implement a title "Party-Planner" like there are for dressing your character, only awarded by devs/Gm's and only award it to people who regulary organise great events!

Now i can properly post about teh event :P (yesterday was to tired).

So i would like on this post to thank all that helped me organise this event!

Jury members (in no particular order): Scath, Redwolfie, Whiterhino, Agentpony, Brynley, Amdrien.
Also Edhel Annon kin for their support and music band and Hispania for bringing so many contestants. Also my kinnies from Legends of the Rohirrim for helping me farm the relics, for their donations of gold and Simbols and other stuff. And last but not least the whole of Whithywindle for making it actually happen .

As a conclusion, it was not perfect, nor did i think it would be. But i hope it will be a building block for future events since it showed that even a very complicated and large scale event can be managed. And also it shows that nice ideas will also gather support from Turbine if the idea is forwarded.

So i hope i see many more events, be they small or large, races or Ettens, cosmetic or anything. The key i have to tell you is to make people know they are happening. And that means to broadcast alsot and contact as many kins as possible

This was a perfect event for a adventure-lover like myself and a great way to explore the beautiful world middle earth really is! No matter how many rivers and nasty flamming waters I fell into and the fact I went totally lost in the dark halls of moria and had to be guided back to the light by the kind jury members, I still enjoyed every second.

But next time I'll remember to bring more cookies, the few I brought with me didnt last longer than to Bilbo's mighty stone trolls! And one cannot travel without cookies. The breaks for picnic are the best part of the journey after all! ^_^
