Thread: Steed of the Horse-Lords question

I just bought the mithril edition and I heard somewhere that I can use the steed of the horse lords mount without having the riding skill, now that I try to use it, it says "riding required". Is this true or am I just doing something wrong?

You need the riding skill

Sadly you can't use the steed of the horse-lords without riding skill. I bought Mithril Edition, too and the skill for 95TP was still needed...

Edit: Seems I am a really slow typer...

It's required. If you can remember where you heard that, I hope you will go there and correct it.

I already have the riding skill, and just got Mithril Edition, but I cannot find the Steed of the Horse Lords anywhere. I already checked my mount section in my character panel, but nothing is there. Does anyone know where it might be?

It might be an item in your packs. If your packs are full, get rid of a few items, then log off and back on.

If you don't find it then, contact a GM and tell them your problem.

Once you obtain the riding skill (either through purchase from the store or the lvl 20 VIP quest), the mount-items in your inventory get "used" automatically and added to your mounts list.
Press k on your keyboard and select the mounts tab atop the newly opened skills window.

Resurrecting an old thread here... but I just bought this and one of the reasons was:

"Travel Middle-earth in style with this exclusive ingame mount! Saddle up as early as level 5 and be on your way to adventure much faster than on foot!"
...which is official info... I'm VIP and just started a new alt, and it's VERY disappointing to not get what is advertised.

...because level 5 is the earliest you can purchase the Riding Skill. and you must also be out of the Starter area.
