Advice on duelling wargs in flayer stance

Since two weeks I cannot manage to defeat rank7 plus wargs in flayer stance in Ettenmoors duells. I have the EM banner and trait pure dps and have seven audicity from 5 pieces perseverance set and one piece of loyalty set. Selfbuffed I sit around 1800 might and 1100 vitality. Around 6K crit gives me over 20 percent crit chance and finesse is lowish at 2.5 k due to the lacking stats of the EM set. Physical master 26K and tact 20K. With the EM-banner phys and tact resistance are around 9K.

Any pointers how to defeat the wargs? I can hardly hit them hard enough to remove their bubbles and they have no trouble killing me. I use revealing mark for the selfheals along with strength from within (muyster courage maxed on emblem).

Any advice is welcome as long as its constrictive please. This is not an invitation to start a flame war.

Its hit or miss with me and flayer wargs. I've killed some, some kill me. I have noticed that the good ones like to kite you and get their bubbles to expire and heal them.

Against kiting flayer wargs, I guess you need GOOD coffee to counter Four-legged Foe and Long Strides. And our -25% slows counteract each other (I find it harder to hit a warg than the other way around, at 4k finesse). We have make haste, they have sprint. My Make Haste isn't upgraded because my Buffstick is also my tanking 1-hander (eschewing power legs instead of defense legs).

I'm curious to see others' advice

If your warg is anything like the wargs at my 1v1 circle has +armor, resist, evade buffs up, and maybe food too. Drop that perseverance set and go for command. The lack of finesse is killing you.

Drop your dps for tactical mit and let the 10% inc damage from the command set overcome your dps loss. Somehow the moors got turned into a mitigation race so get yours up over 10k, along with your morale.

Circle strafe them, or back into a tree. Use coffee if your good at strafing and the warg has buffs. Don't let him get behind you, and remember they're auto attack range is much longer than yours. Keep your auto attacks on him as much as you can.

Start with the morale banner down, and switch when you lose the bonus.

Because they like to bleed kite always lead with your bleeds when they are up.

Flayer wargs are hard to kill, especially rank 7+ (And with store bought skills makes them even harder). Random pounce knockouts, topple, attack duration increase, armor rating debuff, run speed debuff, and their heals, not to mention brute bonuses and additional bleeds. So for the most part I agree with Armitas on all these points. Finesse will be your greatest ally in this, that is my greatest trouble with all wargs at the moment is I miss like crazy, and unfortunately more times than not its with SL and DB. I have found that it actually helps to have a herald when fighting a flayer warg because of the CC they can do and the heals. The brother skills inspire and faster attack duration is nice since it is usually a debuff used on your cappy, so counteracting it a bit is nice. Save your Stun immunity pot for the topple or tendon shred, and muster courage whenever it is up. I find that most wargs on my server when attacking, if you simply backup they for some reason find it hard to get behind you, if you are not around trees or anything, just back up and if they make a move to get behind you, mouse turn quickly and continue backing, or run through them, mouse turn strike and back up, this will gain you 1-2 attacks and gets you out of auto attack range quickly, especially on keyboard turners. I have 3-commnad and 3-perseverance and 1 loyalty at the moment, it looks as though I will be getting all of them. lol I enjoy the hybrid builds for general use, but when soloing or duoing it is nice to have some of the changes, I get coms fairly quickly, if not on my cappy then for sure on my BA, so getting the coms will come quickly enough. Also i was using this hybrid set in PVE doing 3-mans and let me tell you it was a blast, basically could have done it solo. At any rate, like I said, each set has it benefit. Loyalty and perseverance would be great duoing with an RK, near unbeatable duo, especially if the cappy traits yellow with 2 blue for heals. I have personally watched this and it was truly amazing the things that can be accomplished. LOL
