Thread: Monday May 14th - What is your plan Creep ?

Tomorrow with Update 7 tactical freeps get an increase of about 12% if they're weilding a 2nd age , and about 5% if they're using a 1st age .

The numbers are somewhat similar for melees .

On the other hand , creeps get nothing .

Do you guys have any special plans aka not logging in ?

I for one won't be in until something else comes and / or an undocumented change to creeps comes in .

It's funny how you still log in, even before this change goes live

Diablo is available on 15th so why to bother with something that devs dont bother

Actually, I think I'm going to cancel my lifetime, delete all chars and move on.

GW2 has a stress test on monday... will probably spend some time there

Kinda sad if a 6h stress test has mre interet than a game that is for "most" parts wai

I meant that I found it weird that you think these changes would make people log out their creep and not play again, whereas most people are already not playing their creep. Again, I didn't mean it seriously

I really wish creeps would gather together for a huge protest against Turbine, but the PVE who think PVMP players are a tiny minority would object.

Rejoice! Were you spending the last week and a half sobbing uncontrollably in a corner because you so dearly missed the first Guild Wars 2 Beta Weekend Event? Well, it looks like it's time to come back for more a bit earlier than you might have expected. This Monday, May 14th, everyone who has pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 will be able to participate in a surprise stress test for the game from 11AM-6PM (-7 GMT). And for those of you who want one more chance to screenshot your human, norn, or charr from the last beta test, you're in luck! Existing characters will be completely playable during this exciting window of opportunity. There is also no need to download any sort of new client either. The one used for the last test in April will be made available again (so don't delete it!).

Play GW2 during the stress test, prob just worldvworld pvp during that time expect less lag than the moors Afterwards do the last few k inf to rk13 on spidey (which will be more painful than ever) and retire gracefully from whats left of lotro pvp. Such a shame after so many good times on various servers

Same as other posters, I'll be in the GW2 stress test.

I'm only playing for 3 hours, but it's worth it.

Actually , it's because I own a lifetime that I came back & have stayed this long .

Maybe deleting chars would do the work so I can move on .

I see everyone is excited about GW2 .

Too bad I don't like ncsoft . Too many hackers , gold sellers , spammers & other trolls .

I agree, creeps should get together and protest Turbine. Although I don't play creep side too often, I do want creeps to get some sort of buff. Creeps getting a buff will make better pvp for everyone around.
Turbine is treating you Creeps terribly right now. They are allowing Freeps to run all over you guys without breaking a sweat. They are allowing the Ettenmoors to become nothing but rez camping and ganks left and right. They are making the veteran creeps leave without even trying to make them stay. They arent even AKNOWLEDGING that there are problems with pvp right now. They aren't even so much as trying to make pvp more balanced. I would respect them so much more if they were giving the Ettenmoors more updates to make it more balanced. The updates they release could turn out to be a total disaster. But hey, at least they tried to make it more balanced.
Turbine made it even HARDER for new creeps to survive in the Ettenmoors with their "Commendations". They want new creeps to buy new skills(Which, correct me if I'm wrong, cost 2,000 commendations at Rank 1?) , Traits(Which vary from 1,000 to 5,000 commendations) Pots. (125 per stack of 10. Believe it or not, they actually raised the cost to 250 per stack of 10.)
And most importantly, Audacity, which goes for an outstanding 6,000 commendations per rank. Its impossible for new creeps to pay for all of that. I know of rank 5 creeps who are still trying to pay for their rank 2 stuff.
They did not do anything to fix any of this with Update 7.

Yeah , I remember the new map comming for Siege of Mirkwood .

Then I remember the same map comming with Rise of Isengard .

By the time I joined , people were speaking a new map incoming .

I 've read about the Creep Legendary Traits on a Developer Diary .

5 years later , where is all of that ?

Yes: tooltip fixes, new skin for grams npc's and some new, random, gamebreaking bug.

That is just Turbine covering themselves so they don't look bad in front of the PVE people. They won't have anything game changing planned. Even if they do, they'll screw it up somehow or it will tip the balance further in favour of the freeps. We've seen it all before.

GW2 - unlock all the remaining dagger skills on my elementalist, then work in an engineer.

The people I play with are all in basically a holding pattern until GW2 comes out, though some will snack Diablo 3 to tide them over for a bit.

GW2's Beta has less lag in large pvp battles than LOTRO does.... A game in Beta performs better than a game that has been out 5 years.

Anyone playing TERA ?

Agreed. I experience more lag in lotro with a raid v raid than I do in World PvP in GW2, with over 100 players and npc's on screen.

Needless to say, I will be leaving for gw2 when it hits. Tired of Turbine's false promises.

Maybe if they released a new map and made it feasible to buy skills/traits/audacity and made it so freeps can't just rofl-stomp us.

Honestly, I was in a raid on my reaver sitting on STAB, and one minstrel runs up into the middle of the bridge and starts absolutely destroying us. Nearly all the freavers started running away. The mini destroyed everyone who stayed and lost maybe 1k health at most while healing AND damaging.

Wow, if 1 mini took out an entire raid of creeps (24 creeps is a raid just for clarification), then that's not Turbine's fault, that's the creeps fault for sucking ><.

To the OP question, what will you be doing today... After continual warleader bugs I got tired of relogging 2-3x a night and decided to try a free 14-day trial of Eve online. It puts me 2 weeks closer to the GW2 release date. For a game that is 9 years old with about 30k players online I didn't notice any lag or other Lotro type bugs. It was a nice diversion from the PvMP daily dose of lag until you need to relog. I'm dropping my vip sub and doubt that I'll ever try out the new four skirms in Fornost, revisit Moria or the even the new instance. PvE has just become too static. The sad thing was that I didn't even miss playing Lotro this weekend; checking in with the members of the community has become much more important that Lotro itself.

I wonder what the PvMP Freeps are gonna do when nobody wants to play Creepside? Why do I always just find a game on its downward spiral.....

I would say that pretty accurate, if you consider the market research certain beauty products undertake usually a poll of 100 people. Certainly looks like the Ettenmoors population will be decimated with the launch of GW2, Diablo 3 and Secret World. Unfortunately we are still getting, look how many *fill in the blank* we give from Turbine management and PvP developers

If the poll holds it's roughly a loss of 50% of players n the moors, mostly creeps. My guess would be that Sauron might have a hard time filling his ranks at this point... Well, he could always order more dummies

Update: I'm checking videos about diablo3 + I am waiting for midnight release.

To compensate the loss of creep players and to address an issue of Freeps having a hard time killing their enemies , we have set up training dummies that grant renown just outside GV .

Me in a nut-shell. I'm a Lifer (feels like it too) so will log in for new content but what I'm hearing about GW2 sounds promising.

So far as I'm concerned a decision has been made by WB/T that it's easier and cheaper to make PvP unplayable than it is to fix it.
