For all those at Turbine who worked on the Anniversary Event, thank you! I had a lot of fun and know of many others who did as well.
Absolutely, yes! The activities were fun, the rewards were grand, it was extended for our enjoyment. Bright and colorful too! All in all, a terrific celebration of a wonderful game. Thanks Turbine, thanks designers, thanks staff!
thank you! I enjoyed the festival very much, it wasn't a grind, rewards were very nice, events were fun, cosmetic & housing items cute & unusual - really a great job

The events were all a blast. I noticed a lot of characters out that probably hadn't seen the light of day in a bit.
Thank you for the work you put into it.
I am not a big festival fan, but the Anniversary Festival had something for everyone! From the generous lotteries to the invitation drops, it was a great event. Thank you!
Cheers,

Indeed this was an awesome anniversary event. Many an evening I sat my self down in Bree and just watched the explosion of colours in the sky from all the fireworks.

I must add my words of appreciation. This festival was wonderful. The tokens received from killing mobs, the cute toast emote, the free steeds, the lottery winnings (more skirmish marks! yAy!) ... just getting to see all of these characters that I never come across while roaming around Middle Earth .. it was all enjoyable and greatly appreciated for all the effort and work Turbine put into it.
I agree, great event with a little bit for everyone.
Really enjoyed the token drops you could exchange for skirmish marks and the bonus experience week. Too bad you couldn't barter the /toast emote with anniversary marks, but the grind for the letters only took a few minutes.
Anniversary cloak looked a bit 'sad' a dyeable one would have found its way into my wardrobe for sure.
It was great! I skipped several festivals in the past that hadn't changed much, but this one really piqued my interest from the first time I saw envelopes floating around in Bree. Several unusual quest mechanisms, as well as the update to the Beer Brawl. Like others, I thawed out some of my cryogenically-preserved hobbits to enjoy the fun... after all, you never know when you might need somebody on another server with a top-tier handsome pony.
Thanks for all the work and cleverness you put in on this!
Yes was a fun event managed to get emotes on a couple of my characters and a couple mounts as well spent most my time chasing tokens for Marks like many others....That was a nice bonus and much appreciated. Well Done Turbine
I have to add my thanks as well. I had a blast doing the envelope quest even snagging a few mounts. The toast emote is spectacular and the fireworks going off in Bree really added a festive atmosphere. It was nice to see so many different level toons running about as well, looks like I have a lot of company in thinking Lotro is the best mmo ever. Congrats to the developers for such a well thought out anniversary festival.
What everyone else said and more. Amazing festival. I got all 4 horses on 2 toons, /toast on all 4 toons, got ~10k Marks, a crapton of awesome stuff from the gift boxes, gained 3 levels and finished up my Cartographer deeds.
I'll add my voice to the chorus, a well done anniversary Turbine!
I think I stock piled enough fireworks to still have some to launch by the time we reach Osgiliath
Oh, and I also loved the floating envelopes, so much so that I would love to see them as a permanent addition. Perhaps not envelopes, but if you could change the graphic to be say, a leaf perhaps, I would love to see things floating by permanently.
I had a blast. Absolutely loved it! I love the White Anniversary Outfit and the White Cloak that matched the Anniversary Horse that was being sold at the horse vendor North of Bree.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
Civ II rules after all these years......
Pff. Only 40 marks per Calenard token? That's not enough!! It should have been at least 100 marks for 1 calenard.
Also the droprate was HORRIBLE! They should have dropped on a steady basis on about 75% of the monsters you killed. Really if you're going to add something do it properly next time or just don't bother okay???
Also... the envelopes, yeah, the idea was good but really, I could only win 2 mounts and 1 emote with it the other things were just vendor trash. That sucks man, there should have been at least 5 mounts to win and more emotes, I mean come on just 1 emote???
What a horrible, just horrible event. I'm really angry about this. I don't understand how everyone here can praise Turbine for such an abomination.
Just kidding guys, I loved it and am very grateful for everything I managed to win and receive! It was fantastic and I hope for more events like this in the future. Any event that lets you score Marks can't fail either way!
Come on now, a thread without a single complaint, that's just an instant turn-off. Right?

Re: Thanks for the Anniversary event!
Happy Belated 5th Anniversary!
We greatly look forward to the next big one! The BIG 10th Anniversary Celebration (5more years from now)!

We had our differences and points of view gifts but I also enjoyed the anniversary. I've spent almost all the time doing beerfights and master blaster, completed the expert deed 17 times.
