I didn't get the 5 yr anniversary horse, so can't be quite certain, but isn't this just the horse and anniversary set dyed red/crimson?

they certainly look similar, but what interests me more is the horse account-wide offer, for 1000 TP more.
I am wondering if this will be applied to the future class steed offers too.

I missed the "acount-wide" option on first glance, yes, this is intriguing, would be nice if it were an option that will be made available in the future to class steeds and other store-only mounts.

An account wide option is tempting.

For the class steeds, I'd definitely be willing to spend quite a bit of TP if there was an account-wide option where each toon got their class' steed. Probably would never happen, but I can dream

This mount & cosmetics look very similar to the anniversary stuff & quite frankly I dont think this should have been done. People who have been members to this game for 5 years should get something that no others can have. They could have done a set that was not similar looking.

However I will say that account wide mount offer is something I like seeing very much & hope this is a change coming to all mounts in the store.

well, the 5-year'ers have it in blue..

similar thing as with the skeleton painted steed.. first in white, then in green and red. Same horse, no additional creativity, simply a new paint job.
Makes one wish even more horses would be treated like cosmetics, with dyable blanket, changable skin etc (-> suggestions forum is full of good ideas)

Anyone else having a problem trying on the cosmetics? When I click to try one of the cosmetics on, I get you cannot equip that item.

Yeah, it's definitely closely based on the Anniversary horse and outfit, mostly different color and shading.

They could remove the silly flag and make it more appealing. I have the Anniversary horse and I'd pay TP to lose the flag.

The Steed of Account-wide-ness! Glad they're doing it (and even with matching account-wide outfits) but I'll wait for another horse.

I would probably buy the mount account wide if it didnt have that stupid flag. LOL

Would also be nice if you could dye the cloth on the mount. teehee

I disagree, those cosmetics are just for a "limited time" in the store and a bit expensive :/. Only the people that REALLY want them are gonna pay for them (me) If they were permanent, I would say unfair... lol then again you know how many "limited time offers" turbine's had for their steed of night...this will probably become a regular after-anniversary store item im guessing.

Account wide mounts - Glad to finally see the request made since the inception of the store materialize.

Price - $20.00 was too high for a single skin for a single toon. $30.00 is still just a skin, but it goes to the whole account. While nice or "better" than before, its also still more expensive than before, which was far too expensive for a skin IMHO.

One step forward, two steps back IMHO. $20.00 can buy a decent expansion pack for most games, its just far too much for a skin on a mount.

Do these outfits dye? I missed the 4th year box by 5 days. Horse is too ugly for me, so I would not want that anyway, but would love to get the outfits for all my chars without waiting till next year. Well worth a bit under 1000 TP.

And will all future characters get the outfits put in their inventory when made?

I would rather pay more for getting the account wide then having to pay even more for getting one on each toon. At the moment we dont even know if this will be done to all mounts in the store. This could be just a one time type of deal.

I so agree with you. $20.00 for any virtual game item burns my bum and no matter how kool, neat, pretty, or whatever, I refuse to spend that much on such things.

yes, they dye, see previous posts

if you buy the account-wide versions, I assume that all future characters will get them, much like how the Hauberk of the Mithril Guard and the Rise of Isengard horses work.


As for the cost of horses, enough people do buy them at that price that Turbine have not reduced it.

As has been mentioned, they're basically the same, but not identical. And the 5-years got theirs account-wide for free, not for $35 and change.

Frankly I prefer the Festive Azure, because it's just a little less gaudy. The difference is a couple extra bands of gilding, some curly vines and tassels, but honestly the Reveler's is just a bit too busy with them. The Azure is more elegant.

I'd do a straight comparison with the same model, but apparently the preview doesn't work - "Try it on" gives me a "you cannot equip that" error.

It looks like the Reveller's dresses take dye in the same way as the azure dress. It sparkles and shines in any color, gray looks like silver, and gold really looks like cloth-of-gold.

I love the dress. I just wish you could buy only that account wide. I don't like cloaks much, they seem to make my characters look like they have a hunch-back or something.

Yes finally they realized the account wide option I'm happy they did and I hope this can be implemented for the other horses.

It is very tempting that's the problem. Now what I'm thinking is "if I buy this one and they realease another account-wide horse then I will buy it too?".

They can release a new one every month, after all they only have to paint another. A not rich player as much as he likes horses simple can not spend at the same speed. This is the real tp sinking.

The unlimited time offer is not a unique time offer. Prolly they will sell this horse in the future and even with discount.

It would have been nice if they made the 5yr horse the same speed.

On another note, why are the preview images on the Store Promotions page soooo ugly? Low resolution, bad quality images with jagged edges and blurr? Never found the "anti-aliasing" button?
This is not what Lotro looks like at all, and these images should be disqualified for promotional purposes.
I've seen a lot of bad quality low resolution promotional images for cosmetics lately, the Annuminas promotions suffered from the same. Could you please tell your PR department to get their act together and buy a new computer? This is not a promotion, it's a turn off.

While I'm pleased that you've decided to offer the mount and cosmetics account wide, I must say, I'm not entirely thrilled with the gilding. I prefered the simpler version given to the 5year folk. I have yet to decide if I'm purchasing this or not.

(hope it's not a spam as I'm posting this to more threads) I added preview of Reveller's Gilded cosmetics on all races and genders, as dressing room preview from the Store is currently broken for these items.

We noted an issue that came up a few times in this thread regarding the "Try it on!" feature.

The issue has been resolved and you should be able to use that feature now with the Reveller's Gilded items in the store to preview them on your character.
