Example: My BA is rank 7. But before I bought Skirmisher Stance. If I use it in a 1v1 (which any BA should) is it p2w since i bought it but technically am high enough rank to use it (its a rank 6 skill). However, If i use a store moral HoT Pot, as opposed to the flat +600-700 moral pot, that is just uncool.
Buying skills is fine if you've acquired the rank because I understand the commendation cost is too high right now.
Seeing a rank 0 creep running around with higher rank skills isn't cool though.

Freeps got the option to stay away from creeps as long as they like alll the way from 0-75 while creeps, in order to do our quests we have to deal with the freeps. so is a little bit balance too much to ask for? PvE is completely different from PvMP and we're not the ones who get Legendary Traits, Legendary weapons, infact we dont get anything but what we get from ranking, in order to rank we have to kill freeps, in order to earn those cursed commendations we have to kill freeps. Quest to rank? it might get us to r5-6ish, but after that..

This post is exactly what's wrong with LOTRO PVP at the moment. Game mechanics support group play which will be the only time, I say again for possible penatration, THE ONLY TIME you will see balance between Creeps and Freeps.
Turbine has expended great effort to level the playing field to allow skill purchases beyond your current rank however, that's more for player convenience and generates income for Turbine. Win/Win in my opinion and not about class balance as some are lead to believe.
If you're waiting for Turbine to balance the classes for 1v1 play in the moors your pissin up a rope. I think an arena type area would be nice to support 1v1 play however, that design would need to come with very restrictive infamy/renoun/commendation gain to prevent abuse. Class has nothing to do with it. And I was talking about skills.
For reference, lots of people know i bought out a BA. At rank 0, it didnt make me good. But i did rank up and get good (so i think). So If i beat you in a bought out r0 BA, Skills beat your skill. But if i was rank 7 and beat you then it would be more viable.
Essentially, any freep shouldnt be losing to any R0 creep.

And as for buying the skills, not everyone can/wants to blow money on them. I don't wanna pay to win, I wanna play to win. And I spoke of this very subject in glff freepside and was called a troll by Danieltosh and others, and they got upset when I brought my points across.

Hey Val, dude, 1v1ing isn't farming. This is 21st century. Try catching up a bit.
I'd 1v1 more to farm for my rank, but pveing is so much more........farming. I enjoy gaining 2k commendations in a little over an hour not to mention the infamy. Of course if you have 6 different creeps the comm farming is so delicious. Time to stop worrying about 1v1s and start on the ones who pve for it all..............like me Btw, im just using my spider here to get enough comms by getting maps, to give to my other once i get him transfered as well as me freep te he he... There is no "pay to win" by buying skills. Each freep out here got every skill while we start with what 3-5? If you loose due to many skills from your opponent it just means that you cant take down a creep without a handicap. thats where the balance issue comes in. Im sure a lot of people have & lack skills, but even the best player can loose against bad ones due to Turbine's messed up PvMP, like Valistar said its a group play.
Example:
Blackarrow beats a hunter with Moving Target..skills?
warg hips in a 1v1 and win, skills?
X scored a devastating hit with Epic Conclusion on Muzbeak for 9,114 Lightning damage to Morale, skills?
hunter start out with BH from stealth, skills?
Minstrel full heals at the same time dealing damage, skills?
Captain pops Last Stand on you and wins, skills?
Burglar stunlock and kills you while stunned, skills?
I must say that most of the 1v1 community is good and makes it worth fighting even though you lose.
if you ask me 1v1 is only about basic learning and how players put it. Like Valistar have said thousand times by now its only in big groups the "balance" pops in, the best team will win, creep or freep, how many times havent this been proven?
What I look at as Pay to Win is when people pop store brands to neglate the other's abilities, had too many people pop a brand on Ironbeak (lol)

It's true that the classes on both sides and particularly creepside are designed for group play, but in truth in group play the deciding factor is not individual player skill. Rather, it's a combination of the leader's ability to pick high priority targets and adapt quickly to changing field conditions, the group's willingness to follow instructions and actually attack the leader's target instead of wandering around on their own, and the relative number and capability of the healers on both sides. Player skill does play a part, knowing what support and secondary abilities to use to help the group, but honestly that's secondary to the single factor of which side's focus fire beats the other side's healing.
A 1v1 is a test of individual player skill. No groupmates to cover your weaknesses, no advantage of surprise or friendly npcs, just two players doing their best to defeat each other without resorting to using their "oh-@#$#@" cooldown skills. How is that any more "farming" than camping a rez point with superior numbers, or ganking solo greenies in quest areas? If one player was deliberately letting the other win, then that would be farming, but in a real 1v1 each player intends to beat the other.
Personally I really enjoy 1v1s. I'm not all that good at them, largely because I am constitutionally incapable of mouse-turning and building gambits at the same time so my maneuvering is pretty sluggish compared to the better melee players out there. But I enjoy the challenge of fighting players who are better than me, because it's the only way I'll get better and maybe figure out how to beat those darn high rank flayer wargs who so love to chew on me. *shake fist* I'll beat you yet Kratlerr!
As for pay-to-win, store consumables are lame, but I agree with the notion that if you can't beat a creep unless it has an incomplete skill set, you shouldn't complain too loudly. The only p2w skill that really annoys me is those ridiculous defiler flies lol.

agreed, people complained about two vital targets, but failed to see that these flies are much worse.

Tingur I don't control my kin members or the people that I play with. I simply said that I was going to 1v1 your BA and that you didn't want to be corpse-jumped if you lost. Did they open up on you immediately once the fight started? Did they heal me at all? Did they CC you to make sure that I won? Did they give me any buffs? No they didnt, they sat there and watched. They did nothing to influence the outcome of the 1v1, which was the whole point of us fighting. So don't come at me with these accusations of me setting you up to get corpse-jumped or me ignoring the "terms"

I get corpsejumped all the time. Do I come to the forums and qq about it? Nope. Why? Because pixels on a computer screen don't hurt me. What do I do? I generally retreat, rebuff, kill them, and then corpsejump them back. I suggest you do the same.
