After looking into several servers I found such threads, but not on Gladden. I just thought it would be nice to be able to say who you want to 1v1 and people can find time/place etc.. Of course you could do that in-game, but why not have it here on the forums incase people aint online ?

I badly need practice on my warden and will happily take on anyone, humility is good for the soul after all lol. Though maybe not in such crowded conditions as yesterday's 1v1 sessions so I don't have to avoid my AoE dots for fear of hitting noncombatants .

Hethyba, I can spar u on my warden if u want, but it will be a boring 150s spar that will probably end in a draw.
How are your spars against other freep classes? You know when u are good when u don't lose to any burg anymore. All other classes were easy even before update6. I usually draw against guards and cappys, but since update 6 never lose.
Pugnator is my warden name, add on friend list and send me a tell if u want. Mellar/hunter and Tchad/lm are my other 75s, add them as well if u need to check when I am online.

How does someone with a 20m range kite a 40m range hunter?
err..I actually ment running in and through him, disabling his inductions, but I hope ya figured that out, lol.
Besides, if a hunter want to use Dazing Blow on you, he wants to DB you. That is when you should kite a hunter..lol.

Well, there are a lot of players that I already really enjoy 1v1s with, and would like to continue to do so: Kratlerr, Grishmama, Lugsteal, many others; wargs are a really fun class to 1v1 against as an RK right now - I think we are pretty well balanced.
Here are folks that I would like to 1v1 against more, and haven't had the opportunity:
Wargs - Whee, Demondo. Demondo and I started pvp'ing about the same time I think, and I don't think I have ever 1v1'ed him. Whee just cause it would be nice to actually see that one die once in a while LOL.
BAs - DoG, Deathfromtheskies. I don't really think that an RK vs BA fight is very well balanced atm - from my experience an RK should win the majority of times. Haven't had many 1v1's against them lately as a result.
WLs - Creamsicle - would be interesting to see if his heals could keep up with my DPS, plus OMG I would love to sink my little zapzap teeth into that luscious rating. Always fun to fight Chaosist.
Reavers - Crusada, cause he always used to beat me. Plus, he changes things up more than any other reaver I know - I never know what to expect, and that's fun. Slashed - 1v1'ed him 2-3 times and was a lot of fun, but haven't had the opportunity to again. Iraqandroll cause Delt is just a freaking great player on all his toons.
Weavers - Entropy if he really is back to playing again. Tangled, Spiderbyte, Celebdan as well.
Defilers - I think I saw Munce back on Gladden the other night - I've always heard he is a really skilled defiler, so would be fun to try that out. Poppies is always fun to 1v1.

I have probably fought more 1v1s than almost anyone on this server... notable exceptions (Silvey, Vinner, frequent 1v1ers etc.) aside- and I can make this claim fairly confidently based on longevity. We don't have the 1v1 population/community here on Gladden that we used to back in the day, but it still lives here and there. What always strikes me is those who are chomping at the bit to 1v1 when their class/side is OP and who disappear when the reverse is true.
Also, a side note: anyone who uses a store bought SKILL in a 1v1 (creep) in my opinion opens the door for any store bought ANYTHING (items, buffs, etc.) to be used against them in that same 1v1. I realize this may not be a popular opinion, so be it. Meaning, if you're a low-ranked warg/BA/reaver and I see you in a stance/use a skill I know is higher than your rank, you can expect me to use anything I have to beat you.

The increase is quite minuscule actually.

I agree completely. Store bought skills for your rank is fine, above your rank and I can't stand it. Not only have they not earned these skills but I find it disrespectful to those who do/did.

This is true, but it was pre-U6, and if I recall I did some spurious things like popping armaments of storm, which I do not do any more against a (mostly) melee class. I agree that even a highly skilled WL will have a very hard time against a lesser skilled RK - no doubt about that. I have lost 1v1s however to Chaosist many times and I believe that you and he are in the same class in terms of skill. Anyway, any time you want to give it a go I'm happy to oblige.

Glad to know none of you have bought any stat tomes or used relic removal scrolls so you didn't have to start from zero...... But i guess that is diffrent. And what fun is it if a creep has a chance to win the fight. Kinda hard on the ego if you die on a freep to a low rank creep?

Yeah I have to agree with Spider here - I have no problem at all with creeps buying skills at the store. With all the advantages that freeps in general have, this to me is an equalizing factor. Without it, creeps below rank 10 would have precious little chance of beating a competent freep at a 1v1, and I don't think that's a good thing. Just my two cents though, and others are entitled to disagree.
I bought skills for my creeps does that make me pay-to-win? But I do not by things from the store that give me a pure advantage (i.e. Fall Immunity, Store Pots, Store Brands, Incombat Run buffs, etc.)
I believe skills and consumables should belong in different categories.
Example: My BA is rank 7. But before I bought Skirmisher Stance. If I use it in a 1v1 (which any BA should) is it p2w since i bought it but technically am high enough rank to use it (its a rank 6 skill). However, If i use a store moral HoT Pot, as opposed to the flat +600-700 moral pot, that is just uncool.
And still, buying skills doesn't make you better at what you do. Skill is acquired, not bought.
