I get high everyday in LotRO. The view is fantastic no matter where you are.

View towards Isengard from the ox-clan camp, turned off frill distance for that extra barren look.

I'd say the Misty Mountains offer plenty of great vista's for the Mountaineer.

Eregion has Caradhras and the Redhorn Pass. Just trying to cross the pass - it's impossible but still - is all goosebumps for me. Weather's often bad up there, as it should be.

Re: Highest mountain/best view in LOTRO?

One more nice view I stumbled across when I was doing worm deed in Ram Duath. I've been in that very same spot many times (killing the drake matron and that rare black drake that randomly lands on that area) but haven't noticed this "window" cut right through the cliffside. Too bad my graphics settings have to be quite low at the moment ... I'm sure this view, overlooking Lehmä-Koti camp, looks a lot more spectacular in higher detail and environment settings.

My favorite view in the game is from the hills of Nen Harn, that seldom-inhabited, turtle-infested area of Breeland. That lake is gorgeous! ^_^

The highest and most spectacular views of the game that I've seen, though, have been in the Trollshaws!

The Ford of the Bruinen from waaaaay up.

    And Rivendell. So pretty!

View distance is too low in Lotro and textures are very ugly in a distance, how can it be a good view from so high?

The view from Candy Mountain in the Ettenmoors is quite nice. Also, from Ost Ringdyr, the hill above Tol Ascarnen, and the view from Glan Vraig are quite good.

The view over Bree is nice, too! You get to see all the buildings and stuff.

The path to see this view, however.... well.... yeah. It was certainly a challenge!

Would love to see the Ettenmoors from the top of Mount Grams.. though not at the expense of having flying mounts introduced

The view from Dunaland's centre mountain is very nice; especially of the swampy area.

I would upload a photo, if my main computer wasn't infected.

There was a time when you could get high enough on the mountain which holds Draigoch's lair that you could see for miles... it's mostly empty land.

Yes, GM-spawned lootboxes as a path to the heavens above Bree. What you don't see is the invisible GM knocking people off! >_< (This was a stress-test even on Bullroarer for ROI-beta, I believe.)

    Scary Mountain

There's an extremely good view from atop the mountain/hill right behind the quarry in Scary. It's the highest point in all of the Shire but not that many people know about it (it might even be a glitch that you can get up there).

It may not be the highest, but the latest one I screenshotted was the top of the Falls of Rauros (click for larger image):

    I've never heard of it.
Is it an ale association thing perhaps?
The Inn League Keg (Comes from doing the sinister keg quest in the Spring Hedge Maze (I think) ports you to any number of places in the Forochel/Angmar and below areas.

The Moria Keg (I have completely forgotten where that comes from - Maybe that's hedge maze and the Inn League is a barter item from the League) ports you to any number of places in Moria.

My kin likes to drink from the keg, port to a random spot then race back to the kin house over land.

    Ok. I looked it up.
They both now come as rewards from the Inn League Challenge in the hedge maze during Spring festival in Breelands.

The highest view I've ever gotten was from a glitch in the Rohan beta. I do believe I touched the clouds.

Barring that, most of my favorite views have been mentioned--Evendim's Colossus, the Ridge-Racer spot in Eregion, Ost Barandor. But one I haven't seen mentioned yet is the view from above Esteldin. It's tricky to get up there, but possible.

Make your way through the drake cave (wyrmdelf) in the entwash vale and you come out at the top of the mountains for an awesome view over rohan/fangorn, you do have the wyrm sire to deal with though

Another good rohan one should you not want to deal with that beastie, is the watchtower just outside the west gate of cliving, the tower is already up on a hill so the view from up there is great.

I personally find the view from Amon Hen easily my favorite view in the game. I love how you can see the Anduin flow in the distance toward Gondor and the Mouths of Entwash in the distance.

.. and the Southernmost slopes of Amon Hen look towards Mordor as well. I've sat there above the falls trying to catch a glimpse of the glow of Orodruin against the cloud cover but nothing so far. When you're doing the epic part where you are re-experiencing the Fellowship's split on Amon Hen by all means ride a tad farther South and take it in.
