To introduce myself, I play as Leilabel, a guardian, rising more quickly than I intend through levels, and finding myself auto-running through quests even as I intend to be enjoying them leisurely...
I've played the game for about four years and four months. My max level classes (which for me before I took my break constituted level 65) were minstrel, burglar, captain and for most purposes, the loremaster. I've also ranked creeps as far as 9.5, and am a great fan of PVP. On most days.
I have been in a variety of guilds, and the thing I seek to avoid the most is drama. I also feel a healthy appreciation for an 'induction phase' which is merited for the purpose of honing a fine group that fits well together, and so always decline blind invites and generally shirk advertisements.
I am hoping to find a guild that still enjoys the old stuff. I'd love to run the Rift again, just for fun. I'd like to grind out my Moria gear running instances. I'd like to beat the Watcher again. I don't like to skip stuff, I am not an easy-moder, and I enjoy long walks on the beach followed by cocktails.
I feel I could add a lot to a guild, and would love to discuss that with anyone who feels I might be a good fit! I would hope to encounter a trial period where we run together to decide if that is the case!
Merry Meet Labella , What server do you play on ? I'm on Windfola, I'm in a small Kin, but a helpful kin... We are drama free, and have alot of different lvl toons,, We have people in our Kin that are from all over the world, so somebody is usually always on.... We are small, but that keeps us drama free, and lets us have fun, and time to enjoy our game, Hope you find the Kinship you are looking for,,,,best of luck,,,,,,,
I think you could fit in Quest. I love old stuff so i'm usually leading them to make people enjoy this game and not only the silly and boring End-Content raid.
Right now i got scheduled an Orthanc raid for tonight.
I did Barad Guldur yesterday.
I did lead Ost Dunhoth raid the day before yesterday.
I tanked Draigoch one day before.
And i did the Watcher 2 days before.
Dar Narbugud was one day before watcher.
The rift was 6-manned 2 days before DN.
If i have no troubles, i'm usually leading a Raid in a daily basis at 6:00 or 7:00 pm with my kinnies (And if we need people, a few friends or glff ones). So far the fights are 99% of the times a suceed, really fun and not a dissapointing, wich happens when you do end-content raids and wipes.
If he'd actually read my response post, he'd see that I'm not deameaning running older content. As I stated, I also run older content. My only contention is with threads like:
"A pug has done the first full OD tier 2 Challenge (wich imo is harder than a tier 1 orthanc run)" - which are obviously false based on the fact he was able to do this but has not yet done Saruman.
Ignoring me isn't going to break my heart. I'll try to survive it. But everytime I see a nonsense post like mentioned above, I'm going to comment on it.
Not at all. The statement that 'I am not an easymoder' suggests that this player prefers doing on level group content when it remains somewhat challenging. Not sure how much of that Quest does.
Anywho...as the OP was looking to avoid drama, I guess it'd be best to drop the in-thread bickering.
I hope you can find a guild suitable to match your gamestyle, Leilabel. Seeing how you've been playing the game for a good amount of time (I assume you are/were on another server other than Riddermark?), I'm sure you've gotten a good eye at feeling out plenty of kinships.
If you are newer at all to Riddermark, you'll find a decent amount of kinships in diferent genres. From what I've personally seen, we don't weigh heavily in terms of Role-Play, but every now and then I'll see those who band together for a second (and even third!) breakfast. We do have plenty of casual and raiding kinships on the server (and while I don't participate in it myself, I hear our 'Moors activity can be pretty decent), and as long as you don't always take GLFF too seriously, any semblances of drama are usually contained.
You might try taking a look at the Riddermark kinship section of this forum here, or posting in Riddermark's GLFF channel for such a style kin you are looking to join. For being one of the newer F2P servers, I think the progress made in various fronts on the server has been pretty good
Even though I'm not a kin member of Caught White Handed, I definitely advise giving them a try. They are a fun and helpful group if you come in with the right attitude. They have accepted me in their circle and I've been pretty much running atleast 1 raid a night with them. We do Saruman weekly, Draigoch multiple times a week, and we just recently managed to down the Lighting Challenge in Tier 2 Orthanc. We enjoy running old instances as well, whenever there's enough interest (ex. BG gets run for fun sometimes), but the focus is mostly on endgame material.
The raids almost always go smoothly and everyone's attitude is positive while doing them.
So good luck finding the right kinship and see you in game.
Really appreciate the replies, everyone! I'll be keeping a lookout per your suggestions! If any Riddermark folks need a friendly guard to join their group, for whatever adventure, look me up! (Leilabel) !

You're also welcome to give a try to my ToO Pugs, running semi-regularly in glff!
