Not been posting lots of messages on this forum, but reading alot about the housing chapter ... i see lots of plp begging for housing upgrades, and i see lots of great ideas, ... but Turbine does not seem to care about us!
I am playing lotro since the beta version and one of the most exciting twists was when turbine anounced the housing. Everyone wanted a house ! And where do we stand now at the 5th year aniversary? At the same place turbine began building houses ... they keep expanding the system with new neighbourhoods, but the old ones are dead ... to many players that are not using their house or abandonned the game and are never comming back ... why building hundreds of dead neighbourhoods?
Why do the people of Turbine never listen to 4 years of discussions on this housing sector ... so many great ideas, so many plp waiting for an answer of Turbine, ... but nothing is happing!
I do really ask myself ... does Turbine really care or even bother to read these housing posts?

I agree that it dont seems like turbine prioritate the housing system (i want an nice upgrade to it too) but i most say that the neighbourhoods isnt dead. If a player leaves the game, the player stops paying the housing rent = the house is for sale 5 weeks after.
But most people seems to just have their houses as a storage, and not bothering decorating their houses/gardens. And it takes my heart when i go pass all "For sale" kinship houses, seems like it is too many kinship house in each area.
But im happy that we have the houseing system. At least there is more space for storage, and a good try to at least make it as homley i can (even if it fails).
Wish that was true ... because in my neighboughood (the first that was build) ... this rule does not apply.
Half of the population did not come back for years now.
I know you can get a lock-out after about 5 weeks ... but it still stays you own house and can unlock it after paying the un-lock fee.

I have been trying to find anything about turbine upgrading the houses but have only found allot of people begging for some information. It is really frustrating to have no answers. I guess Turbine is ignoring these treads. will someone answer us?
All we want is a little info on the housing system and if Turbine intends to upgrade them in the future. You have heard all of the suggestions, now just answer us!!!

5 weeks might be a little too early to kick someone out of their house, but there should be a foreclosure timeframe, maybe 3-6 months? Then they could sell a store item, to extend it to another 3-6 months, for those players who only play intermittently. Of course these timeframes can be adjusted as necessary, to whatever is reasonable. It's a win-win fix, fewer dead neighborhoods, more open houses to purchase, more money for Turbine/WB.
It's frustrating definitely...the two issues that keep appearing on this forum are always the same; housing lockouts, and requests for larger houses/more hooks. This holds true even if you go back a few years. It's so blatantly obvious to us players what the problems with the housing system are, yet Turbine never even comment on them. Maybe we'll see something with RoR, but I'm not going to be holding my breath. I reckon it's more likely we'll see something housing related come in or get changed which almost no players care for.
