I think we should just get Rohan in one go or at least the second half free with the epic books. I also think the gap between expansions right now is too close, so more time spent developing Rohan to make it perfect would be nice. But hey, that's just me. I'm taking months for a text based rpg so it's perfect, but I guess there aren't many perfectionist out there haha
There used to be much weeping, wailing and tearing of hair and clothes because people thought expansions were too far apart. You are complaining about once a year. Seems about right to me, though I could see it stretched to 18 months, but definitely not 2 years.
(And there is no "perfect"...at least not until you perfect people.)

Given recent practice, we will get Helm's Deep a year after Rohan, so you're just asking them hold back on what is deep in development now. To what point?
Notice that the statement doesn't preclude intermediate additions of territory and/or books in between expansions (Great River, anyone? Books III.5 & III.6?).
I would hope that "The Siege of Helm's Deep" would increase 5 levels.
If you've read the developer diaries from RoI launch you will have read that the devs will most likely never do a 5 level increase again. Not enough level difference for itemization or new tier of crating, you end up with a mess like supreme crafting was (a tier within a tier) and people running around in level 60 armour with a level 65 cap toon (moria armour)
Chris Perry at PC Gamer got the skinny from game’s executive producer, Kate Paiz on Rohan and he writes
Rohan is a vast kingdom, allowing players to level to the new cap of 85 while exploring its expansive terrain. And this massive zone will only cover the East plains of Rohan, so you’ll have to wait for the next expansion to visit the legendary Helm’s Deep–which is located near the Western border of the region.
So are we looking at two expansions to wrap up the Two Towers story line? Something like...
Lord of the Rings: Riders of Rohan
Lord of the Rings: The Siege of Helm's Deep
That would be pretty amazing. It would also be reasonable to assume you would need to be a very high level to fight against the orcish hordes at Helm's Deep. I would hope that "The Siege of Helm's Deep" would increase 5 levels. When I played Cataclysm I enjoyed the smaller level increase (80 to 85) instead of the much larger increase (70 to 80). The expansion after ROR could put more emphasis on epic battles and the epic story line around Edoras and Helm's Deep. What do you think?

I like having an expansion once per year. That's pretty much it.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
Civ II rules after all these years......
After Eastern Rohan (RoR) we'll see western Rohan (Helms Deep, Edoras, etc). After that we'll go south of the White Mountains to Erech, Dol Amaroth, and Pepargir. Then we'll get 95. Pelenor and Minas Tirith will come around 2015 with the level cap to 105 for the Big Battle. Osgiliath and Ithildin will be 2016's expansion with flash backs and session play (dreams of Frodo and Sam...) and perhaps a Raid into Minas Morgul or Cirith Ungol.
Finally we'll see the Black Gate and the Fangs in 2017 for the final battle perhaps with another level cap to 115. After that the game will go into hold. We might see a new area every year, but the real game will be over... Unless Turbine manages to turn something around and pull in some major revenue between now and then.
Of course we may not even get that far unless something improves.
Wouldn't be surprised to see an Update (rather than Expansion) that ties in with the Hobbit movie at some point - maybe Esgaroth / Lonely Mountain / Iron Hills. I know I'd love to see that.
People always go on about when we get to Mordor, but I don't see how we will ever see it, it was only ever Sam and Frodo that got into Mordor so why would we ever get it as a playable zone at any level...
We will not be in mordor until the ring is destroyed. We may visit the mountains (maybe shelobs lair) before the ring is destroyed.
Maybe the black gate could be like lorien when you arent aquaintance with the elves: you get arrows in your back

I'm not so sure about that. Who knows how much help Frodo and Sam really got behind the scenes from people they never saw...
