And I'm wondering if there is a story behind this scene, or is it just a random cave drawing the devs put in for "flavour"?
LOTRO has drink and smoke, this kill people. Eat corn is healthy. If you are Nobgobbler you can be most healthy too. - WNxNomos You just made me punch my own face! That's how angry ganking makes me. I punch myself in my own face! - hex2323
Its a picture of the Dwarves being driven out of Moria with the large Orc probably being Azog.
More likely that's the Balrog, then (there are fires drawn there, too). Besides, that was too far back for it to be Azog (the year then was 1981 whereas he's first mentioned in 2790, over eight hundred years later).
It's wrong in any case, lore-wise, as the Orcs didn't move into Moria until some time after it had been abandoned by the Dwarves.

Could have been an exaggerated version of the War of the Dwarves and Orcs.
Hmm where is Gamil Filik again?I have seen the same drawning in goblin town near gollum's cave....I always assumed it was a depiction of the Battle of the Five Armies(I hope thats whats it called i didnt read the english version of the hobbit)as near that drawing you can find others from the book too(like gandalf, bilbo and the dwarves escaping from the wargs on eagles and stuff like that)
I could post you the screenshots if I knew how
