Yeah, no chat channels on Brandywine. Wakey, wakey, IT guys. Kinmates who were on this afternoon say it started about half an hour ago.

Re: server issues?
No chat on Brandywine and Im unable to enter the guest rooms in Riv to continue my quest. Watched 2 other people fail to get in as well. Logged twice and nothing changed. They must have pressed the switch that says "Bullroarer on/everything else screwed".

Brandy's down, and the forums also seem to be crawling.
Not sure if anyone else is seeing it, but the problems do seem to be not just with BW."Rock is overpowered, but paper is perfect." -- Scissors

Re: server issues?
I'm checking in with my backup enclave on Vilya. Based on my experiences with other MMOs, it's been customary for me to have a "spare" world in case one goes down.
LOTRO's uptime is the best of any MMO I've played, so my backup characters have been somewhat neglected. Vilya seems normal, and it's been nice visiting with them.
Also, the significant page load delays on the forums seem to have been resolved. I'm not sure what that was about, since my pings to gls.lotro.com have been smooth throughout the crisis, but I'm glad the live team is on it.

Re: server issues?
I've been trying to play this afternoon. The lag is EPIC. Ruined my whole dang skirmish... Now I'm walking around with the shame of defeat. more like SHAME OF THE LAG

Re: server issues?
I have been having this problem forever now. I am VIP and half the time I cannot log in. I can get into game also but all I can do is look around. Can't chat, can't MOVE, can use skills, just look around. It has taken me days to get in. Then it is ok for like a day and then BAM back to it. I made a ticket for it but Turbine did't do anything to help really. They asked me some questions about my router and internet but I am in Iceland and have the best internet in the world. I have a feeling that it is time to disconnect the credit card from this game and wait for Elder Scrolls to come out.

Re: server issues?
I am glad to see I am not the only one with this problem. I have been getting this for the past few weeks:
I can log in and get into game. Once IN game I can look around but that is it. No chat (General error 0x000000 or ssomething), no skills, no moving. After several moments I get a 'Connection to server has been lost'. I have contacted Turbine nothing yet. It takes me sometimes HOURS before I can log in. HOURS.
Rage quit? Reinstall? Smash face on laptop?

Can't Get Into the Game World
I can log in and get to the character select screen but it won't log in to the game world. I was suspicious of this hotel connection, but I can post here etc and the speedtest comes back way more than adequate. Anyone else not really able to connect right now?
Thanks!

I'm having the same problems: connection to the server has been lost (kicked completely), connection timeouts trying to get to character selection, some characters I can't get past the character selection screen - and then with others I can, but then they freeze up and I lose connection again. All seems to have started yesterday for me.

Me too. I select my character and then lose connection.

Might be the chinese gold sellers trying to crash Turbine, so they can sell more on Blizzards servers. You can never keep the chinaman down long, too many of them to contain it.

I haven't had any issues staying connected, but the past few days the lag has been something terrible. I just came back to the game a few days ago after a taking several months off and I can't recall the lag being this bad except for when there were tons of people in the same zone... which I haven't been getting the "high zone population" warning lately so I'm assuming that isn't the issue.

Well trying about ten times seems to have solved my problems. After a while I was able to stay logged in as normal. Very weird but at least I got to do raid night.

Aeridas, I actually had the high zone population thingy all night last night. It stood out to me because I haven't actually seen it in a while.
