A simple and quick question: planning a dps armour set, it's better in your opinion to go 3 pieces of the fire set and 3 of the lightning one or 4 pieces of the fire set and 2 of the lighting one?
In raid I usually go fire traited, but i use lightning skill too, if they are not in CD.
My idea was 3 fire + 3 lightning (more balanced for every game content?).
The 3 pieces bonus from lightning set (100% power restore from sustaining bolt) means that when you cast SB you get your power filled or that you gain the power you should have spent with that skill?
4pieces of fire,no doubt. The +2 wrath of flame skills pulse count is extremely important. if you want you can add 2 lightning pieces for the stats bonus,or 2ettens fire pieces too, but about Isen - 4pieces at least.

That´s the 3 piece bonus..the actual question is whether you want +1k Mastery (4 ToO + 2 Moors) or +10% Smouldering Wrath Damage (3 ToO + 3 Moors)
best advice i could give here is that hybrid doesn't work on an rk unless you're running writs hybrid, (all 3 writ traits, and the tier down on writ of health/fire) if you're doing that fire is the best thing to main spec after, you could keep up writ of fire and cold on everything, and a t3 writ of health on yourself and a few others as well, if you throw steady hands in as well you have great versatility, most of your skills will be free and instant. if you had gear to support the writs hybrid build it can be as potent as a full focus. plus you'll never run outta power ever with so many free casts you can stop carrying power pots entirely
You will find that conversational range increases dramatically when you talk about what you think, rather than what you know.
Since you are new to the RK you should focus on economy first, and then all these 5pc sets people are throwing about later. Thats a heck of a lot of seals to use right off the bat on aging content. 4-5 fire, and 5 lightning, and 4-5 healing??? Practial advice folks!
I would instead advise for 4 healing and 2 pvp. This will give you a max tact mast build, and while not as effective for fire as 3red/3blue, it is very effective for healing and lightning. You could go 5 blue 1 pvp as well, its just less damage on offense (healing will be capped even if you drop to 1 pvp).
If you are dead set on fire then you really do need 3 fire pcs. And no more than that! 3r/3b is dandy.
Here is a spreadsheet I made comparing 4b/2p to 3r/3b for purposes of just fire. In this case you can see the difference in this set for fire. This spreadsheet was just for fire. It was meant for self-only, not for public consumption so please bear that in mind in its organization and commentary.
Use your great river jewelery, and a winged necklace. Diamond flecked bracelets.
Power isnt an issue. Get the power restore legacy on your buff satchel. Use the cheap westfold pots (not rohirrim), pop it early and often. I rarely need to even do that.
Lightning is useless with 3pc, its 5 or nothing and 5 is imo over-rated. Most of those buffs in a raid situation come up early and stay up... In a solo situation everything dies so fast it doesnt matter. In pvp youll be enjoying the new pvp-gating gear, and wont touch 1 pc of ToO stuff.
But for DPS pve, the Eglerin healing-blue ToO set is very nice. Its higher in tact-mast and morale both, than either DPS ToO set. The only reason to pick the red/yellow set for DPS is because of the set bonuses. You lose too much tact mast/morale for it otherwise. So Id pass on the lightning set - the healing set is way more versatile. Unless you are doing fire a lot - then you need 3 red. My spreadsheet shows which pieces to get.
