I have been solo-playing my champion to lvl 26 now and I've noticed that after every fight, regardless if I win or die, my power meter remains at 100%. So I figured that I've missed something. Isn't there a way to use power as a solo champion? Or is my power doomed to remain unused, forever at 100%?
I have scavenged the web for info, but so far I've only found the "Dire Need" skill which turns power into morale. But this skill has a whooping 30 minutes cooldown, so it's only useable on rare occasions (and only available at lvl 28...). Apart from that, it seems like power can only be spent in fellowship circumstances, and since I play solo, I can't use that either.
Every skill you use eats power. Enjoy it while it lasts, at higher levels you can burn out power pretty fast if you are careless. The thing is, your stances regen a LOT of power, but at higher levels, it has sort of diminishing returns, so by level 50-60 you will begin to see your bar recover slower and drop fast in combat. At that point, get used to hitting second wind every time it is up.
On of the best ways to see what I am talking about: go get a 2h weapon, and use swift strike a lot to make pips.
Draegon:
"stack all the morale you want but dont come on here wonderin why you aint hittin hard! "

Thanks! That explains it. Sounds like all those power regenerating potions I've saved will come in handy in a couple of weeks or so
Power is also an issue once fights last longer. At lower levels most fights are reasonably fast. But if the fight lasts a couple of minutes or more then you'll really notice it.
When you're in groups you'll probably want some cooked food, which regenerates both morale and power.
With the new version of 2nd wind, you should never run out of power except when you get debuffed or you are in the ettenmoors fighting defilers with traited flies.
Even if you are not running out of power, get used to using Second Wind in your rotation, so when you get to harder fights that sap your power you got the reaction down.
