Is anyone else have issues logging your Warden in. I have no problem getting on any other toon but my warden takes several attempts. After trying to load for several minutes I get a connection to the server has been lost message. It only happens on my Warden and even if I am lucky enough to get in it takes 5 times longer than any other class. Curious if it is a class issue or just a bizarre coincidence that my connection issues only happen when on the Warden.

I believe this was happening right after Update 6. I figured it rectified itself though since I have not really heard anything about it lately. People may have just stopped complaining though. Ha ha. My point is, I saw others saying try logging into a different character first... log out of said character... and then log into the Warden. It seemed to work for them. Hard to diagnose connection issues though.
It's still an ongoing issue, it takes twice as long to log on my warden as it takes on any other toon (in my case, Hunter, Burglar, Minstrel, Guardian, Rune Keeper, Champion and Lore Master).
Also, everytime I log in, I get the Inventory tooltip info panel on screen... It's annoying!
Hm. Unfortunately I cannot really help you then. It seems to be like the lag issues. This one doesn't effect me though as I can log in perfectly fine all the time to my Warden and Hunter. Have you tried the LOTRO Client Defrag thing lately? Could be worth a shot. I do not know what else you could try though, sorry.
I cant even log in at all It takes ages to get to the world selection, with our without the automatic connect to last server, and then it just stands there and in the end I get some weird group box error and the launcher quits... I was last logged in about 22 hours ago...

Ouch, that sucks Maeg. Unfortunately they would probably pin it as a client side issue like the other lag issue we were having since it does not effect anyone. I hope you solve the problem though! Maybe reinstalling the whole game could be worth a try? Pain in the butt but it may help.
I had a period a few weeks ago where I couldn't log into my warden at all. All eight of my other alts were fine; it was just the warden. So I contacted tech support and they recommended I do a full reinstall. While I hesitate to suggest others doing that as it's a pain in the rear end, it did work for me and I was able to log back into the warden as soon as everything was patched back up.

Sounds like the same problem I started having a couple of days ago. I finally tracked the problem down to an incompatible update of my virus/internet security program, McAfee, that had just pushed through. I solved it by first restoring my system to 3 days prior, then uninstalling all McAfee products from my computer, then installing Norton Anti-virus in its place.

The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.
I've been having this problem also. Started with the long load times about the time of U6, but the past few days i've gotten the disconnect issue. If i log on with an alt then my warden it works. Seems like a resource isnt loading properly for the wardens, but gets cached with other characters logon.

Here is the original thread in the support forum :
there are many people with the issue, and some workarounds are discussed in the thread. Honestly the fact that it has now been months with this problem with no resolution is crazy to me. Along with the lag problem that is ongoing and tonnes of other bugged and broken content it make it very hard to justify my monthly subscription.
Curiously, the evolution of the internet seems inversely proportional to the evolution of man.
Yup, still a problem with Bilbema, lvl 54 Hobbit Warden.
I reported it five weeks ago and I'm still doing the one idea a day email troubleshooting with the Turbine support staff. I have yet to receive the suggestion to do a complete reinstall of the game.
The problem has improved... I can now often get my warden to load up first out of the box. The lag is still horrible and she remains my only toon who lags out of the loading screen or crashes out of the game. The inventory usage tooltip persists. None of my other seven toons has a problem.
Several of the things that Turbine has suggested have done NOTHING for me. Others seem to have had a moderate impact.
One of their suggestions that did me the most good was to empty my warden's inventory as far as possible AND empty her vault spaces as much as possible. Send the stuff to your alts or put it into shared storage. Then completely log out and then log in straight to the warden. I don't know why that worked but it shifted my warden logs from "almost always fail" to "fairly often succeed." Because my alts all have their storage full and shared storage was full I ended up having to sell a LOT of my inventory. *much weeping* So I don't know if it was getting rid of something in particular or just making the game rewrite the inventory and vault contents. If you can afford to do it, see what happens.
Best of luck. Other people share your pain.
Ingiogal is my first toon but Bilbema is my warden.
Yep. Had the problem some weeks back, and then stopped having the problem after 6.1. The problem is now back and has persisted for around week or two. Cheeks isn't a happy camper right now D:
Sent in a ticket and was working with Turbine, but there's no way for me to get on to my Warden anymore without levelling a new toon to get into Mirkwood to do the workaround so I am of no use to them anymore.
I still have this trouble, too, for my 75 warden on Landroval. I have to remember when I first log in to log into another toon, even if the first one I want to do anything with is my warden.
If I open the game and attempt to log right into him, the client hangs. If I open the game and log into any other character, I get in. Then, I can go back to character select and get the warden and wait for 2 minutes while he loads. :/

Most definitely this ^^ (I won't say "annoying," though, but completely mystifiying is on target). This baffles me. I'm not a programmer (though I played one for a while in College), but I don't understand what could cause a difference in logins based on class.. I look forward to a solution, as playability for me right now is next to nil. Lots of client crashes in general (unless I disable my audio, which is working correctly and using the most current drivers for my mobo, and even with audio disabled, I do eventually end up at the same client crashes.. Just takes longer). I really enjoy(-ed) playing this game when I didn't have these issues.. Be nice to get back to it sometime..

DO NOT use the Defrag tool if you are running the High Res Client.. (see the top sticky in the Technical Support forum). I already followed the procedure outlined therein to correct the corruption cuased by it (and it annoys me a bit that it wasn't made more prominently clear not to do it), and it helped me, but there are still problems..
*bump* This issues is still ongoing, 40 mins to get logged in a few days ago, 2 hrs to get logged in yesterday and again today the Warden will not log in. The day I got logged in after 40 minutes, the warden only had 1/3rd of the total morale showing on the bar. A GM helped me by getting me to change my gear to reset the character stats. I used to get the inventory help tip forever, but that has since stopped and now my login issues have begun. Please fix - I am tring a reinstall but it has taken me 2 days to download the client again (3MB wireless connection). I'll post again if reinstalling it helps.
*UPDATE* Reinstalling clean did NOT help with the server has lost connection problem.

I still have problems logging in my warden, sometimes it just takes really long, but most of the time, I log in without my kin (but I can see when people go offline), or with 1/3 of my morale. What works for me is getting rid of ALL unbound LI's, even then I get the "You have lost connection screen" sometimes.
Other toons (Elendilmir): Lorespark Man LM, Sparkness Dwarf RK, Bowspark Man Hunter, and Leadspark Man Captain.
I had this problem forever! I still do from time to time. They tell you to reinstall, that's the only solution I got and it never worked. I got random server lost notices and bumped from game, inventory popup, takes 15+ minutes to log in, and I freeze/lag more on her than other toons. Not to mention that issue started affecting my other toons as well. It was as if the more I played them, the more issues they had logging in if they could at all. Did they mention for you to NOT allow the game to re-download into the same folder as before, but to make a new folder for it?
I had a week where I couldn't log into anyone and was supposed to be refunded 1 week VIP, I even forwarded the email to support but they claim I won't get it and even cut my VIP off 5 days early. Seems RoI has some bugs with logging in. I don't know about RoR because I'm not tossing them another penny. Sucks too cause my Warden was supposed to be my raiding toon, and if I do get disconnected, no guarantee I'll be able to get back on fast if at all
Just tried update 7.2. Still cannot login first with a warden (Beagol @ Windfola), eventually times out and server loses connection.
And it happened for me on my second attempt as well. First I logged on my Guardian, Gloimli, then tried to switch over to Beagol -- which has been a fine work around but fails now.
I may just now play warden for a while until this gets fixed, a shame, Mirkwood was fun in that class.
P.S. -- I like the new apparel dummies contra certain fellow life-timers.
How odd, I have no issues logging in my warden first, second, 10th or last. Are people routinely /bug in game? Forums are all well and good but its bug reports that get things done
Had the same problem today. Usually log in time is really long (5 minutes) anyway, but today the connection just kept timing out. Logged into an alt first time no problem. Couldn't access my warden at all.
I'm having the same issue (has been going on for over a month). I find that I have to log my Warden out, well, outside. Estedlin is a great place, I'll log my Warden out near the crafting hall and usually it's only a minute or so to log in from the Character selection screen.
If I log out in a Tavern, AH, Vault, Cave, etc I may be stuck for an entire day not getting on with my Ward. Sometimes it will take me 15, 20 attempts to log in at that point.
I can log my RK out in the middle of Bree during the busy time of day on Landroval and be logged back in in 30 seconds flat.
I just came back to see if they fixed it quit in may couldn't play my warden only to find out it's still not fixed before he would not log in but now he logs in but can't do anything just stands there.
I have had it a fair few times, I used to try 3-5 times in a row no luck. Now if I cannot get in I get round it either by logging in from a different computer and then moving the Warden before using my own computer again. or by logging in another toon then retry my Warden.

Log in issue happened to me two days ago ... foolish me, I forgot to log in a different toon before my Warden ... hang time 5 minutes or so, then disconnect. Started up the client again, logged on my Mini, then my Warden and after a long log in screen finally the little bar filled up and I was in. Annoyed? Absolutely. I submitted a bug report regarding this about two or three weeks ago and never even had a response. If it's a problem on my end please tell me what to do to fix it ... if it's a problem on your end Turbine, please fix it!

Judging from the others having this issue, I don't think it's just you. I've reported it as a bug as well (as have many others). A simple fix seems to be logging out in less dense areas. I recommend that you must to somewhere like Estedlin and then log out. My Ward still takes longer than any other character to log in, but at least if I do that I can still play.
