    Returning after 1 Year

    Hello All,

    I'm returning to the game after spending the past year in Afghanistan.

    A lot has certainly changed during that time, especially concerning our class. I took advantage of this past weekend's "Welcome Back" XP bonus to power level up to 75 and that gave me the opportunity to explore the changes somewhat. But still, it was a fairly simple matter to just click red buttons until whatever I was fighting was dead. However, I was hoping to get some advice on how to really maximize the Minstrel's potential with all the Isenguard changes. I do spend a lot of time in the Moors but whether I am doing PvMP or PvE, I primarily run as a Healer. However, since I do PvMP a lot, I try to keep Morale as high as possible. I rarely run of of Power in the Moors, but being a Minstrel I do attract a lot of negative attention out there.

    With that in mind, if anyone has any advice on LI configurations, new Armor and Jewelry pieces to look for, Traits to slot, whatever, I'd be glad to hear it.

    Thanks!

    Hey there, it's good to have you back.

    First and foremost, if you haven't seen it yet, Cloudie-wan made a complete guide to the new changes and introductions to the class that came with RoI, it can be found here. Definitely a must read.

    Seems you PvP a lot, there's a thread here where people are discussing which sets are best for PvP.

    Since virtues were increased, you might have to grind more for those. There's a discussion on that here.

    New skills have been added and old ones have changed, so you might need to redo your rotation. For damage optimization, there's some good examples of good rotations in this thread.

    In terms of gear, they've added several new crafted jewels, and dozens of instance gear for casters;

    Here is a list of some of the raid gear. This has some of the rep gear, and crafted gear.

    PvE-wise the Dragoich armor and caster rep jewels are a great place to start. You can find 4 pieces of the Dragoich set from a barter trader in Galtrev, the other two you get from a drop in the 12man Dragoich raid. The rep jewel traders are right next door.
