Hi, I'm trying to sign up for the one year VIP subscription for $99.99, but on the "Change Billing Options" window, I don't have a choice of plans. I am currently a VIP. It just shows the payment method options, credit card info and legal agreement. Can you suggest why this is happening?
Thanks!
It looks like they have changed the billing system. PayPal is a new option that I don't recall seeing before.
You first have to select and confirm a payment method before you are allowed to change the VIP plan. I did not go thru all the steps because do not want to reactivate my cancelled Asheron's Call account.
I owe Turbine an apology. I never thought Turbine would ever add PayPal support.

Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.

First off, Yula's correct about how to change plans, I just wanted to comment on the PayPal option. /happy_dance ... This makes it easy to help friends as I have occasionally in the past. I am so happy. Before this new option, you had to callTturbines customer service and have all the other persons account info except their password. Now I can just send it to their PayPal account and not worry about being the custodian of someone else's private info.

Reason: silly spelling error ... sigh

Hey op. Same thing here. I only get the option for 12 months at $112. I selected the 12 month option and then sent in a ticket to account support asking them to change it to the promotional amount. I am confident they will sort it out.
A couple of years ago the 3-month 9.99 option was not available when I returned from one of my many hiatis' from the game. I ticketed account support and they simply reinstated it with the 9.99 promo.
I tend to think, like most companies out there, Turbine is happy to accomodate these kinds of "deals" if the customer asks for them. Happy customers tend to mean happy (not to mention wealthy) companies.
In this case the promotion is clearly on it just seems the myaccount site does not get updated regularly.
Curiously, the evolution of the internet seems inversely proportional to the evolution of man.
Thanks for the info guys...now I have a different problem. So the only option is for $109.99 for 12 months...why not $99?

Could these be due to sales tax, rate dependent on where you live? (Assumng you are US rewsidents.)

Re: No option to sign up for VIP $99.99 special
If it seems that you are unable to choose one of the current VIP price plans, please contact Turbine Account Support directly via the information in my signature. We are unable to provide account specific support via the forums.

So just to update. As I figured, account support fixed it up so that I got the correct price plan.

Canada here, although we are at parity atm with the US dollar. Since Turbines service is a US service we here in Canada do not get charged any sales tax.

I've been VIP since '07 and no $99.99/year option for me either.
The one year options is $109.99 and not $99.99.
Turbine figures people will just pay the extra $10 instead of spending 30-60 minutes on hold (long distance) while calling account support. This is something I figure the phone/cable company would do and not Turbine. Silly Me.

Well I just let my account auto-renew and my CC was only charged $108 and not the $109.99 that I had been paying the two years before. I'm still kind of annoyed that the $99/year renewal is advertised but not available to all people through the account management servers. If I can get this fixed via an email or support ticket that would be good, but not going to call and be put on hold for 30-60 minutes.
I love the LOTRO game, but the whole account bait-n-switch leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Definitely feel free to submit a ticket to the Account Management team. Their turn around time is about a day or so. They will be happy to help you
