Thread: Wahoo! Anniversary Extended!

This made me so happy. I have like 50 tin tokens on my level 16 Hunter, and I never traded them in. The whole anniversary thing is just awesome, I mean, fireworks shows? Totally sweet! I hear there's a summer festival coming up as well, that should be fun too. I just love LotRO!

Ah, very good. I missed that email. I got my steeds and toast (legitimately) on my main, and a toast on one alt, so I guess will keep grinding though envelopes every day on my alts. All my chars with riding skill also already have both anniversary horses. Anything else worth getting? I've bartered for a few gift boxes which didn't yield much, the rest of the tokens I've traded for over 3000 marks with all the tokens won in lotteries (some from mob kills too). To be honest I haven't been doing much questing or leveling during this whole thing, just hanging around bree mostly, occasionally do the gift quest as it becomes available. Since I got all the steeds I can get on my main, I finally sent him back out into the world. He's currently in North Downs, which seems to have not much good soloing content for him at his current level (36).

If the email listed for your account is wrong, you won't get these. Also, some ISPs treat (some of) Turbine's emails as spam. I've missed a couple of closed beta invite emails. Didn't realize I had gotten invited until I noticed that I could see the restricted beta forums. Invite email lost in the spam trap.

The toasts are the big one for me -- they're perfect for hobbits and dwarves. I accidentally rolled an elf and it looks kind of clumsy on him, but he's scheduled to be rendered for LM pet food in due course anyway.

Besides what you mentioned I got a complete set of Moria maps, just for the 10 TP per character bonus. Woohoo - nine dimes saved! The rest of the anniversary tokens I'll probably save for next year, whatever that brings.

Oh, cool. I'll have to go for those maps then. Can always use a few TP.

More tokens means more marks, more marks means... New equipment that usually gets one-upped by quest rewards two days later... But the yellow + One Tin Token or + One Silver Token is just joyous. Got some cool maps for my house too

It's not wrong, I do get some email from Turbine/Lotro, but obviously not all of it. I get email confirmations regularly whenever I buy stuff from the Lotro Store. I've double checked my email address everywhere I can think of to do so, and it's correct everywhere, so not really sure what the issue is. Not a really big deal, just don't know why it happens. I've check my spam folders both online with Gmail and in Outlook, and there's never anything in there from Turbine <shrug>.

The important thing is the festival is extended!

Any chance the bonus XP could get extended as well? The Anniversary is a load of fun but the bonus XP has made me addicted to playing two of my alts.

I have this problem, too. I've made sure every Turbine-related email address I know of is added to my contacts list so they're not sent to spam and I still only get email for store purchases. The weird thing is, I used to get the promotional emails up to around 7 or 8 months ago, then they just stopped.

Delighted the festival was extended. I work crazy hours, so often when the timer expires I'm away and have to wait extra time. Thrilled to have gotten at least 1 each of the horses and the emote several times. Still trying to get that awesome Lossoth on my main. One note for those who haven't gotten the horse yet- 1 lossoth and 2 dusks all from envelopes near the south gate, 2 flying and 1 sticky. I hope everyone gets at least 1 each, good luck. *Rubs rabbit foot and heads out again.

I hope the anniversary festival getting extended doesn't result in the Spring festival getting pushed back.

Last year it had started in March. It was stated for May this year, no specific date given. I am hoping it to begin 14th of May latest.

As for what happens, here is a guide through last years festival. They probably have added new things for this year, such as the remaining map housing items.
