I didn't read everything, haha, but I'll say my strategy.
If they don't have evade up, it's still a tough fight. BAs are tough, and they have high dps, but make sure you have needful haste up and try to stay to their backside.
If they do pop evade, whether or not you win is mostly up to location. If you're solo, say down in HH or something, track the BA and get exactly 40 m away... open up hard, make sure to get a slow on them, and just stay 45m or so away as soon as they pop evade and wait until it drops. It also works if theres a big rock or tree or something that you can run around until its down. There's a setting that shows the direction of your target, which makes breaking line of site easy for 30 seconds, just make sure to get slows on the sucker. My personal favorite way of handling a BA though is that as soon as he pops evade, jump off a cliff or stab or something, and break your legs. If he jumps and breaks his he cannot B/P/E anything, and its just a matter of killing him before he kills you.
Hunters right now are very much dependent on getting the drop on creeps... if you attack, you have a much better chance and survival than if you get jumped.
I have never been able to beat solo a mid-to-higher ranked BA on my hunter. It is simply impossible. I've come back 2 times in a row from the rez circle to try to beat a high ranked BA (the same one) and just got owned each time. Each time the BA used a different "epic survivability cool down skill."
I've been able to solo high ranked wargs and spiders, and even when I loose the fight at least it was a "fight", I did decent damage, it was exciting. Against a mid or higher BA, it's just impossible as a hunter.
Hey devs: why can't hunters have some more survivability skills like BA's get? An insta-cast Press Onwards would be a great first step, even though we'd still get owned by BA's.

A good BA should'nt need MT for a solo hunter. That said, if they really want to humilate you, they will pop it. With a brand. And a uruk heal if they fall bellow 75% morale.
Because thats how they roll, they have one speed, one gear: go.
I have this problem on an almost consistent basis with just about every BA on our server in 1v1s, or even if I'm getting ganked by 1v3-4. As soon as I target them and start firing, they pop MT. Rank 9+ BAs with full audacity popping MT at 10-12k morale basically means you should just find a different target and hope you can gun it down before you're killed. Even against greenie BAs you can have a hard time if they hit MT, also.
As far as playing defensively against a BA with MT on, your best bet is to stick to trees and rocks and LOS them so they can't hit you and kite them around as many obstacles as you can. If you're lucky, they'll somehow forget they can use hindering shot and you'll outlast their MT. If it's like 99% of the other time, you're still going to die, but at least make him work for it.
Dazing blow isn't a very good strategy, since it can still fail to work. Closing to melee range with a BA with MT on is suicide and should only be done if you're planning on running in and out of him if there's absolutely no other way to LOS him, but any BA that knows what he's doing will just hinder you and back pedal or run through and turn around.
Heartseeker is meh. Yes, you'll get a hit, but with nearly all BAs running audacity plus stacked crit defense (at least on my server), you're only looking at maybe 1k-2k damage at best since you probably won't get a crit, much less dev.
