Thread: The Loss of Angels

As some of you are aware, my wife and I were having twins. on Monday, the 23'rd, we found out they had TTTS(Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome), on Wednesday, the 25'th, it was confirmed, stage 1, and we were rushed to have an appointment with the best doctor for experimental laser surgery to try and give them the best chance at life.
On Thursday the 26'th, we went down to Los Angeles and were rushed through, starting the surgery at noon. Friday the 27'th, we discovered the recipient baby, Lance Mark, had passed, but the donor baby Orion Patrick was still alive, although small and sick. Early Saturday morning my wife's water broke and we rushed back to the hospital, to find out Orion Patrick had passed to join his brother in heaven. After a long night delivering the passed angels, we were able to hold them and be in amazement at how even at 19 weeks, they were perfect.
I realize that no words can ease the grief and pain that a parent goes through, but I'm hoping that by sharing our story, other couples who might have gone through, or who are/will go through this will understand that they are not alone in this pain, and that no matter what happens, you are still their Mother/Father, and no one will be able to take that from you.

I am sorry for your loss. You and your wife sound like wonderful people and I fail to understand why such a loss happens. I hope that you two are able to conceive and deliver another miracle - you both certainly deserve a little divine intervention.

The loss of a child is always a hard thing, both of you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Family really has to STICK TOGEATHER in times like this

As a parent who has been there with the loss of a child, there is no words that can truly convey the sorrow I feel for you and your family right now, especially since I understand your pain.

All I can say is that you have my heart felt condolences, I will keep your angels in my thoughts, as well as your family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. The same thing happened to me and my wife. Luckily we are blessed with a 7 year old daughter and the twins would have been her younger siblings. It is the most painful thing a parent has to go through.

So sorry to hear about your loss.

I lost my first daughter at 24 weeks but they never did figure out what happened. As my other kids have grown up I made sure they knew they had an "older" sister that is waiting for them in heaven.
