    PvP sets - Which one?

What combination of pvp gear are the minies using out here?

    4 Dissonance + 2?

    5 Dissonance + 1?

    What other combinations?

    Cheers

Personally, whilst I was keen to get the audacity set just for the audactiy, I wasn't wild about the 5 set-bonus on any of the sets. Instead I worked out which individual pieces would be an improvement wherever possible and made sure I got 2 pieces of each set.

The 2-piece set bonus ended up improving my mastery, crit and morale, which keeps me happy enough.

    OH Hai Sab !

I went with this too, although I think I'm going to get two more pieces just to try mix matching and seeing what other outcomes I find

The bonus sets are really dissapointing. Even though I myself am not a pvp'er I did get the pvp sets just to compare to the Orthanc ones. I got 4 dissonce (3 for the 7% balad damage + 4 for extra vitality) and 2 ressonce for the morale bonus. I mostly stuck with Dissonace for critical and finesse.

I prefered the old (level 50 - 65) end game armor in design and also in stats.

I suppose none of you is healing anymore in the moors. If you want to heal as much as possible as a minstrel, you have to go with five pieces of the resonance set.

If you want to zerg and scream the s**t out of the monsters, then you have to go with any other combination, that gives you as much finesse as possible.

    Just my thought.

No, if I wanted to heal as much as possible, I would wear my Orthanc set.

You most certainly don't need to wear 5 Resonance to heal in the Moors. Traiting for heals would be far, far more useful than just wearing a healing set.

For healing the set that lets SoS remove up to 5 wound/poison/fear/disease effects on a target can be awfully nice depending on playstyle.

Orthanc set? Never! You need every additional statpoint of audacity, also as a healer in the moors.

And statwise, the resonance set pushes you directly to the healcap, even solo without any other buffs. And the setbonuses are awesome. The five-piece-set-bonus is so op in the moors, just ask my kinmates. The better fellowship heart is not to underestimate also.

This. Legs and boots specifically for Resonance. You gain the most raw stats this way, including Finesse/Crit.

Well yeah but that's not what you said. If I want to heal to maximum HPS, I would wear PvE gear. It's far better in stats AND bonuses for pure healing output. But of course what you should have said was - "to heal effectively enough, WITH audacity, you could wear XXXX." That would have been accurate.

I have to disagree with some of the comments here. I have a full set of Harmony and it works VERY well both in the Moors and in PvE. I particularly like the bonus for the 5 item set where it purges 5 wounds/poisons/diseases, one every 2 seconds. Its very effective against spiders poisons and cries. It also works on about about 1/2 the poisons in the Roots instance. In either scenario, you can clean off your main tank / killer.

I would never wear minstrel Moors armor in PvE. You lose too much. But I'm talking about T2 Orthanc, not random 3-6 mans. You could pretty much wear whatever for those. Other classes may wear theirs in PvE because their bonuses are better (Captain 6 second RC would be one).

If you want to optimize HPS AND buffs, both of which are equally important for good minstrels in end-game PvE land, you wear PvE gear in PvE.

If you want to heal effectively in PvP, it really doesn't matter what Audacity set you wear. It only matters that you wear as much Audacity as possible and have a good mix of stats. Bonuses are secondary; hence why most people mix sets for maximum stats. The only bonus even remotely interesting for better raid/group healing is the 3-piece SoS. Bigger FH has been done before (BG set) and while it's nice, it's not in anyway affecting your average HPS.

Re: PvP sets - Which one?

4 Dissonance and 2 Harmonious for DPS - I feel the 704 Tact Mastery for dps is a better payout than the morale from the resonance set. (I made sure I have full finesse from dissonance)

5 Harmonious and 1 Dissonance for Healing - Chest piece is dissonance for the finesse - fear, slow, etc.

Edit: Also ^ setups let's you switch quickly to 5set sos for cure while dpsing.

I can't see any reason not to use 5 Draigoch in PvE.
