Agree. I have alot of lovley housing item that take up space in my bank. I would happy pay for a house-item-bank, and even more happy to be able to use more if my items in and outside my little hobbithouse. And if they are bound to account it wouldnt depent what char i use to decorate with. /P
Unfortunetly the housing Issue is a dead end topic.
Turbine does not care about housing.
Turbine does not care about members unable to get houses due to thier screw
up of a decision to no longer boot for non payment of upkeep.
housing is Dead in Lotro Killed BY TURBINE and Many Selfish Players that fail to pay maintenance and think it is OK.
It is unfortunet that Turbine refuses to extend to Newer Players that benifit of Housing that IS SUposed to be Part of the Game.
I guess it explains why some things/bugs never gets fixed. If Turbine does not care about one integral part of the game why should they about any other in particular.
Will be interesting to see whats fixed in 5 yeras at the 10th anniversary event.............
Would love to see housing updgrades, but as a previous poster has stated, I'll probably be long gone before it ever happens. I believe it was about 2 years ago when I started writing about housing issues/suggestions, and not a single thing has been done in that time.
The problem is the balance of what Turbine would gain by selling premium housing features in the store vs. the development costs of creating these features, as compared to the return on investment from such things as new content development. If new raids are more profitable than new housing fixes, that's where they will put their development dollars. I wish it were otherwise, because as fan of roleplay I would really get a lot of enjoyment out of a robust housing system and probably would be enticed to spend the cash necessary to obtain new features.
Im going to post on the housing threads even if its considered dead. So . I like the idea of an alternate housing item storage space like an Attic, Cellar, or Loft. At least when I decide to change up my decorations for a holiday I can hopefully sort through them easier. Just make it like the shared wardrobe and off you go. I also agree that housing items should be bound to account, it makes no sense to bind them to a single toon when all your toons can use the house. Also, if someone puts a decoration in your house, you should be able to take it with you. I lost an Inn League Wolf with Beer Mug becuase I moved and the player who gave it to me was gone for 5 months. Very sad.
