Ok, I've played roughly for about a month and I love this game. I feel a little handicapped since I never actually read the books but have seen the movies which was great by the way. I think the big selling point for me is that the fellowship is doing their thing and look at my character as being more of the common folk, behind the scenes character who has his own value for the people of middle earth.
The world itself feels absolutely huge. I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface with what there is to do. I feel I need to start my crafting career for better gear because Book 1 Chapter 11 is proving to be pain. 0 for 2 attempts there.
All in all, this is a very fun game and look forward to playing this game for the forseeable future. Well done.
Glad you are enjoying the game. Anothe suggestion for completing Chapter 1, book 11 is to get one other person to help you out. It makes a huge difference just to have one other person in there helping you out.

This is an issue I have been having since I started the game a couple of months ago, its HARD to find help for fellowship quests. My Hunter is currently level 40 and I have solo'ed the entire game so far, I have tried using the instance finder but after waiting 30+ minutes I give up.
I hope to find a decent Kinship soon, maybe I won't have to solo as much then. I am enjoying the game, having played other MMO's I have been ok soloing but being an MMO it would be nice to actually play the game with others.

A couple of suggestions:
(1) Find a good kin as soon as possible. This will really help with getting someone to help with instances. Try to get a good one that matches up with your personality. Try one out and don't be afraid to drop it and try another if you don't like it.
(2) I don't know what server you are one but most servers have a global chat channel called GLFF (or on some of the servers it is GlobalLFF). Simply type in your chat box /joinchannel glff (or globallff if that does not work). This will give you a chat box that has lots of people talking in it and will also give you other people to possibly group up with.
I got past Book 1 Ch 11 a couple days ago. Not sure really how I did it. I layed a trap and pretty much was still getting beat down and all of a sudden the main guy and his 2 summons died. Not sure if this fight was bugged or what happened because the main guy regenerated almost all his health right before he died.

That's the way it comes to a conclusion. Getting to the last portion where you fight the boss and his 2 adds can be a pain. But each time you lose it is a learning experience. Need: a hope token, food to provide the morale/power boost during fights, and concentrate on the boss. When he heals himself, you get about 5-10 seconds to smack the adds. It sounds strange to stick to your bow, but do so, because it is the most powerful weapon you have, and does the most damage. After his first heal, you have to beat him down again. When his health gets low and he tries to heal a 3rd time, Tom shows up and does his "thing" which kills all 3. The point is: stay alive and beat on the boss. I tried this about 6 times before I figured it out. I did it at level 22 or 23... don't remember now.
I did this again with my Champ at 22 and blew right through it.
Hope this helps. And by all means, check the boards here and the Lorebook at the top. Lot's of input from other players has helped me solo to 60. Glad you enjoy it, and if you like it, try reading "The Hobbit". Tolkien was a masterful writer.
